So first a huge thank you to everyone who stopped me Saturday to take a picture of my "The Thing" cosplay (1986 Film "The Thing" not Fantastic 4).
I'm not much of a photographer myself, so every picture I find is a keeper! I had so many people stop me that I've decided to wear my costume again for Sunday, even though I originally planned on taking it easy. You guys make it worth it!
So, I like making costumes so much I've decided to run a little contest. Anyone who posts a picture of me in this Thread (Remember, I'm the guy in US Army Fatigues with the Dog bursting from his stomach and the extra head growing out the shoulder, you know, the gross one) will be entered into a random raffle to receive a costume kit from me. Here's the scoop:
Submit your picture of me in this thread by Wednesday, April 11th. I'll assign everyone a number based on the order received and use a Random Number Generator to select one winner at random from everyone who had a pic of me. The winner will be notified via Private Message that they have won.
I will work with you personally via Skype or in-person (if you live in the Boston area) so you can give me an idea of what you would like made, and I'll work with you to make it come to life. I work only with latex, so you'll need to select something I can work with in that medium. Zombies, Monsters, Creatures, Aliens, that sort of thing. Think 80's movie horror and you should be fine. Your kit will include: One Face Mask/Prop, One Body Prop, and One Special Effect (Such as a weapon, severed limb, etc). You will be responsible for adding the body prop to clothing of your choice. You will need to allow me at least 30, no more than 60 days to work on the project.
Also, if you have a picture of me, and would like to submit it but aren't interested in the contest, just say so and I'll leave you out of the running so the more interested pax'ers have a shot at it.
Thank you, and good luck!
