I couldn't make PAX this year, unfortunately. I'm hoping someone recorded this panel and will post it online. Very interested to hear what was discussed!
Was a great time today... I'll post up some pictures as I get them corrected. Obviously, everyone feel free to post yours as well.
To anyone who is in any of these shots, if you'd like a full-res version of your picture I'd be very happy to send you one. Just drop me an email at crusso!!!impeng.com. (just replace the !!! with @) :-)
And some more... some folks had absolutely fantastic costumes. I wish I had some way to round you all up to make sure I got you all.
==5==
I love this lovely lady's costume. Too great. The light we got her into there was just perfect, too. :-)
==6==
It amazes me what folks are able to put together for costumes. The details and such are really impressive.
==7==
I need to play TF2 more. *grin* This couple was later asked to go to some sort of photoshoot (I happened to bump into them later). I wonder how that went...
==8==
These guys had me laughing. I'm surprised I was able to hold the camera still. :-)
Ok, these two had amazing costumes. The guy's drill even spun. Crazy impressive.
==10==
This guy even had a voice modulator built into his mask. Awesome.
==11==
A buddy of mine (and fellow photographer!) playing a game from his childhood.

My daughters would have been sooooo excited to see these guys. What a clever simple idea. I swear they looked like they took ice cream tubs and converted them. Brilliant!
We (the panelists) had it recorded video-wise, and supposedly we'll also be getting an audio recording of it as well. I'll try to post on here as soon as we have it up and available.
I am looking for pics of a guy walking around that looked like a cross between Hyabusa/Shredder? and Ghost rider. I have been looking for him today but cant find him. I am also looking for pics of the group he was walking around with yesterday. He was with Duke Nukem, Ezio, and i believe deidara from naruto. I saw them in the main entrance area on saturday posing but alas.....My camera died. I know stealthy Pirate is Busa/shredder from the pic in the costumes topic.
Supershot, It was Me. I left the expo last night so thats why you cant find me. Sorry ya couldn't get a pic I dont have one of us but if one pops up from one of the guys I was with i will post it here. The guy that started this thread (Bijazik) was the Ezio in our group. Glad you liked our suits!!!
bottledgoose, thank you so much for posting the pictures! I have been looking everywhere for a picture of my Sora and me at the convention since a lot of photos were taken of us, but I found nothing until now. Thank you so much!
Also quite a few photos from the Irrational event last night towards the end. If you were at the BioWare event, I also took a photos of your cosplays, which were all awesome!
Thanks. It helped that I had a camera with a large lens (Canon S100) to help with tricky interior lighting. I would have done some post-process edits in Lightroom, but I'm too lazy. I just imported and exported, deleting only about a dozen or so bad shots along the way.
I did much the same, though I was using a fixed lens - was pretty good for portrait shots, but not so much for the crowd or distance. I hope to have more/better gear next time around - and definitely more experience either way.
This thread will be a place to request photos of your cosplay from fellow Pax-ers and or just a place to post the awesome photos you took of people's costumes! The idea is to put them all in here so that people aren't creating new threads just for their costume, but instead in a place for everyone to request/share!
I'll begin by requesting photos from anyone who took some of me on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I was Arkham City Harley Quinn/vault 101 cosplay on Saturday night!

My S100 will never have the quality of a DSLR (it's a compact camera with a fixed lens), but I find that shooting manually by adjusting the focal length and/or the exposure helps a lot in terms of getting good shots. Plus, since cosplayers have places to go and stuff to do, too, I usually have to be quick with my pictures. Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality I got (especially with those bar shots towards the end - the lighting was very tricky there).
Anyways, I only had a Saturday pass, and a friend of mine who was working as an enforcer is encouraging to be one next year (which I plan to do).
Oh... I think I saw a few Harley Quinn costumes around, but I didn't take any pictures of them. Perhaps you were one of them.
I hope some of those cosplay folks from the Irrational event and the BioWare booth are on here - I have many pictures of you guys, and I want to share them.
I was fortunate this year - I borrowed my office's camera (Lumix GF2 with 20mm pancake lens).
Definitely playing with the exposure bias is helpful - I also found it good shooting in burst mode this time around - it helps a bit to get in a few more to avoid the subtly bad ones you can't really distinguish on the lcd screen.
Hey everyone! On Friday I was Jill Valentine (RE1/REMake version) in a sandwich (Jill Sandwich, anyone?) for about 2hrs before I got sick of wearing it :P Later that day I changed into Al-Jilani cosplayfor the Bioware panel, I was getting punched by a red headed female Shepard while in line for the panel. I changed back into Jill for the rest of the day.
On Saturday I was Lighting from FFXIII, in a black tank top and ripped jeans. For the rest of the night I was Jill Valentine again. Any photos are much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I was Princess Zelda from Skyward Sword on Friday with a sailcloth. And on Saturday me and my friend were a blonde and brown haired little sister. If you have any pics show me please!!!
I was a cute skyward sword Zelda with a silk sailcloth on my shoulders on Friday and Saturday my friend and I were little sisters together if anyone has some of us!!!
Anyone who happened to pick up a picture of The Thing (I know BottledGoose had a couple, one of me texting and one eating the dog body) be sure to post links to them in my other Topic. Every person who posts a pic of me gets a chance to win a costume by me.
I'm definitely looking for any pictures anyone managed to snag of "The Thing" (Gory costume with the Dog bursting out the chest, not Fantastic 4). Post them here if you like, but I did make another thread and anyone who posts a picture of me there is entered into a drawing to win a costume of their own designed by yours truly.
I was obviously my name on Saturday. Supposedly there was another pink ranger running around. I didn't see her though. I was the one just like my picture with the signed helmet.
Hello! Hope everyone had a great PAX. I am looking for any pictures of me (BLU Spy from TF2. I had a black ski mask, whereas the other BLU Spy I saw had a more blue mask) and/or my friend who made a Dovahkiin costume (which, from what I saw, had GREAT feedback from a lot of people). I also played at the Rock Band area at one point Saturday and for a good amount of time today (Sunday). Any and all pictures would be greatly appreciated!
Posts
Will be taking more tomorrow and Sunday.
