    I was a bit surprised to see the email, since Diablo hadn't really been on my mind lately, despite it only coming out about a month from now

    I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

    godmode: no, i don't think that exists, but if you play for a bit you'll get used to the speed. especially as your character gains skills that don't require you to focus-fire individual monsters quite as much.

    also make sure your settings are all maxed and you're running the game at 800x600 instead of 640x480

    you could also try running in windowed mode (add a "-w" to the end of the desktop shortcut for the game)


    EDIT: is anyone playing D2 right now on USEast? i'm debating a reinstall, but i'm also afraid of burning myself out on diablo before the launch of D3

    in case anyone didnt know this the shady fence vendor in new tristram now sells random rings for around 1500-2000 gold

    they can spawn some nice mods like +2-4 damage and +%ias

    I think his only real pets are the zombie dogs, and there are always 3 of them

    but I think several of his skills essentially summon uncontrollable pets either by default or with runes

    Actually, 5? The gargantuan seems to be a "permanent" pet as well. Only one rune mentions a duration. And the Zombie Handler passive skill:
    You can have 4 Zombie Dogs summoned at one time. The health of your Zombie Dogs and Gargantuan is increased by 20%.

    and you can turn zombie wall into 3 zombies that attack nearby enemies, and spider queen may have a good duration I can't tell

    Sweet paycheck came in last night so now I can order my MacBook

    Only question is how do I want to finance the purchase

    Apple store offers 0% financing if paid off within one year but their interest rate is ridiculous if you don't pay it off

    I also got a couple of credit card offers for zero percent financing on new purchases for one year and the rates are better after, but I don't know if I want another credit card

    It's funny, I loved playing around with WoW talent calculators, but for D3 I think I'll just let the character develop organically. Try out each rune as I get it, see what I like, what works, build from there.

    No expectations or gnashing of teeth that the one skill I need/want unlocks at 59 or something.

    It helps that talents and skills are much easier to switch around in DIII than in WoW.
