JP is faster but only because you can run dungeons as much as you want. Tournament is easier all around, but is going to take longer. I really wouldn't worry about the DK hierlooms except maybe the weapon. You don't need the gear, and while the xp bonus is nice it isn't going to save as much time as you think. If you have to get something, get the helm and clock from the guild vendor because their XP bonus carrier all the way to 85. The others stop at 80.

I have the cloak and helm, I guess I'll just go for the 2H sword then level
Could try and farm Champion's Seals from the Argent Tournament for the chest / shoulder.
Remember that you don't need a weapon for a DK--Runeforging doesn't work on heirlooms.
wait seriously?
what the hell was their thinking on this

I thought you can runeforge an heirloom weapon now and it just strips the runeforge when it's mailed out. It does that with the Shaman weapon imbueds at least.

it would make sense
not sure if i want to grind the jp before finding out though
The weapon still scales better than anything you're going to get outside of a dungeon though.
But if you're just going to level up exclusively from dungeons then the xp chest or something is probably a better idea.

yes, but i can't imagine the DK rune would be a balance issue for leveling up to 85
it would only be a problem if you had 85 competitive weapons somehow having DK enchants transferred over to non DK's, since the heirloom weapons would be so weak by comparison at that point
I'll test the waters on runeforging an heirloom. I'm pretty sure it's an iLevel thing, though.
IIRC, last time I leveled a DK, there were plenty of 2H quest rewards (in Northrend) that worked just fine, and some of the dungeon drops would last quite a while.
e: Well I'll be danged, it looks like you can runeforge an heirloom now. I only went as far as seeing the castbar appear--I don't want to replace Crusader--but if the castbar appears then it's a valid application.

okay thanks
not sure what to do now, I still want the weapon and the exp bonus
I prefer the playstyle and aesthetic of the elemental shaman (55) over my mage (71), but I know if I get the shaman to 85 I'm going to be called out if I try to join raids besides LFR without a healing set and spec ready to go
I havent played seriously in about a year, cancelled account in January, with possibly some intention to at least play through the leveling experience of MoP...
My main is a warlock. I'm not sure i like what im seeing but maybe its just because the info is disjointed.
Making demo more tanky...not liking the idea but i never really played demo anyway.
Giving warlocks rejuvination in the druid tradeoff...i do not like this at all. Warlocks are like the anti-healer, I dont want to be expected to use that spell on someone else, a warlocks UI is bad enough, try adding a healers ui on top of it.
Also, the last few expansions have been somewhat dissapointing for locks...they implement some awesome ability then pull it the week before release, leaving us with barely anything new, fun and different in the expansion. So hows that looking now?
Warlocks are getting probably the biggest overhaul of any class. The tanking thing is so that they can maybe offtank using a glyph, it's not going to be a core part of their gameplay.
Never said i was judging the whole expansion already, I'm generally a blizzard fanboy in terms of loving their games, even if my own class imo has sometimes gotten ignored.
a lot of things for warlocks are pretty broken right now, so you can't really make a fair judgement even if you're in the beta
my unfair judgement:
Strangely, affliction is strangely pretty much exclusively a single target spec right now (ignoring the aoe drain life that is a talent), and I don't like it. It's really really wacky. Retuning the numbers on some of the spells might make some of spec make more sense, but I don't know what their plans are there.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

turns out nope tank dungeon queues all the way
I know it's a fuckin disgrace

guess I'm relying I on dungeon drops entirely
wait seriously?
what the hell was their thinking on this
because of minimum enchantment requirements
no, because transmog weapons only scale up to level 80
it would also not be that difficult a thing to put a restriction on; you can't mail transmogged heirlooms either iirc
it would make sense

Dragon/elementium armor and twilight's hammer emblems aren't exactly too shaman-y...

Maybe you should reserve judgement for when you've played it.
