I really enjoyed The Graveyard Book. It's a straight up goth retelling of The Jungle Book, but he says as much in the introduction, so we coo'.

Really 1602 had a ton of great takes on Marvel characters

Dr. Strange, Daredevil, Nick Fury and Dr. Doom were perfect

and Peter David's Fantastick Four and Jeff Parker's Spider-Man minis were also really good!

    Look at 1602 Namor!

I think Secret Warriors Nick Fury is pretty close to that

the bit where he breaks into Osborne's bedroom and then manipulates him into gathering intelligence for him is great

Secret Warriors is definitely my second favorite

what pushes 1602 over for me is that he was the most important character in a story starring pretty much the entire Marvel Universe and the fact that he fit perfectly into 1602 with no real changes. Dude is a badass spy. They had those back then.

    Plus look at him

Definitely. And the scene where he gives the prisoner a knife and lets him stab him in the shoulder before absolutely wrecking his shit is so great.

he takes of his shirt and throws him a sword

and he blocks the sword with his bare forearm and then headbutts him

And indicate the level of spoilerage if you want to be a super cool guy (i.e. stuff from trailers, prerelease clips or interviews, or straight up 'I just saw the movie' stuff)

Not necessary, but I would appreciate it. :D

1602 was the book that really sold me on the marvel universe

i read it before i was at all familiar with superhero comics and despite being an alternate universe thing it's a fantastic introduction to the characters

they should do more elseworlds stuff! elseworlds stuff is always great

Pretty Epic Deleted Scene from Thor that clarifies some things about Loki.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYPaQpY98kg&feature=related

Obvious why it was cut though. I spent half the video unsure if it really was a deleted scene. The movie manages to imply all this just fine and you hardly miss it.

    And here's some more.

The first scene is a mixed bag. The goblet and the kinder words between the brothers are nice but the snake are some what tacky. The lines are also a little to on the nose. Same with the scene introduction the warriors. The way the movie was eventually cut is much more natural.
