    I had to cut my job down to just weekends to keep up with schoolwork (5 courses). I make roughly $500 a month, which covers my $310/mo car payment and basically nothing else. I definitely could not have afforded insurance without basically handing off the premiums to my dad or something.

    Which I guess would've been the better decision, in retrospect.

    When it's done. There is no release date yet. They started selling the game and if you prepurchase it you are guaranteed access to the beta weekend events that happen each month. The next one is on the 27th.

    But yeah, if you share a plan with anyone that can affect your premium I think.

    They give you some sneaky rating for being a member for X years, paying on time, etc. Some advertise this, some don't. And, as the Allstate agent who advised me against signing with them told me, that rating follows you between companies.

    See, I found out that my then-current company had placed my policy in the "double-secret shithead" policy tier which was why I didn't qualify for the services which they broadly advertised and that I was calling about. I missed a payment a few years prior, you see. So I called Allstate, and they said, oh yeah, you're on their shitlist all right, so you'll wind up on ours too. Here's what you do: Get on your wife's policy at company X, she's triple awesome rated. This will expunge your shithead rating if you stay on for a year, then you can take her good rating over to us.

    So, there you go. Insurance is tricky. Unless you just pay when you're supposed to and don't have a shitty driving record, but that's no fun.

    Cool. I am glad these events don't have an NDA so we can coordinate publicly. I am going to be out of town that weekend but I am specifically bringing my laptop so I can play in the hotel room.
