Yeah, like a year and a half ago I think. They started selling these awful clove cigarillo things to get around the ban but I wasn't a fan.
Insane difficulty really drops off when you get the laser gun from the DLC. It's amazing, has infinite ammo, and gets more powerful the longer you hold down the trigger.

They're just regular tobacco cigarettes with clove added. I think they tended to have a slightly higher amount of nicotine, but I'm not sure. Any time I switched between them and regular cigarettes I would definitely get a bigger nicotine high from the cloves.
