I had the same problem when I tried to play Diablo 1 a little while back. I just couldn't handle how ugly it is. D2 LOD is a bit better, but still hasn't aged well. At least it runs at 800x600, though! I remember back a lot of years ago, the last time I played through D2, I got ass-raped by some act boss that just kept freezing my Paladin to death.

I remember playing on hardcore with my friends and him being the only act boss I said "guys, let's level up a LITTLE more..."
duriel is the only act boss you can't just outgimmick (unless you're a necro) and is a real threat

Monk is a really fun class
But my favorite classes in D2 were necromancer and druid and the witch doctor combines really fun elements of both

electrocute + lightning hydra + spark familiar + teleport + frost nova 15% crit + 5% crit energy armor
things all getting random stunned and crit gibbed
finish normal at 30, nightmare around 50, hell at 60

Yep, so if you wanted to go from Beasteh's crappy spec to an awesome energy twister/storm chaser arcane wizard you could whenever you want.
The only thing is if you swap a skill outside of town you put it on a brief cooldown.
If the spell is named after the company, it has to be broken.
