There is a pretty good theory going around that he didn't really die. That they knew the team needed something to Avenge so they stabilized him and got him out of there. He see him close his eyes and medics swarm him and then there is a time cut.
Man. If he didn't die how pissed would he be that his cards got blood all over them?
just FYI on people wondering what happened to norton
he was a fucking douchebag on set and didnt promote the movie at ALL afterwards.
so marvel basically said "fuuuck that, you suck to work with, well get someone else"
but im sure the feeling was mutual.
Whoa

Norton and the studio were in talks. He was excited about doing the movie.
A week later, the studio makes a public announcement they weren't gonna go with him because of money.
Nortons agent guy flips out because its the first time they've heard of this. Fiege says, "“Our decision [to recast the role] is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members.”
Norton goes huh what and is disappointed, makes a post to his facebook:
Regardless of whatever happened that ended up with him not playing the role again, it isn't exactly like Norton was being a huge douchebag about it. Also if I recall correctly he refused to do promotion on The Hulk because he didn't like the final editing and wasn't happy with it, like how they cut the suicide scene: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Incredible_Hulk_(film)#Editing I mean, Norton probably would have done a lot of arguing with Joss Whedon because Norton likes to have control of the characters he played, so who knows, maybe it worked out better, I certainly enjoyed Ruffalo's performance.
But saying the reason he wasn't recast is because he was a douchebag is unfair

I really like how the final part of the movie was essentially one long beat-em-up videogame, right down to the team-up special moves.

Most likely the reason Norton didn't return is because he demands more creative control from movies he appears in then Marvel was willing to give.
Hulk intentionally landing in an abandoned building.
How do you "intentionally" fall in an abandoned building?
Can the Hulk glide or something?
I would imagine he just fell directly below where he was falling from
Skydivers direct their movement when they fall all the time. Moving in and out of formations and such. You don't have a ton of control, but there's some.
