Is anyone available to make a 2nd age 1 hand axe for me?

I finally got up the nerve and clobbered draigoch today (after all this time).

It was easier than expected. Apart from me stuffing up 2 FMs.

I can if you are Brandywine.

I'm sorry guys, but I have been devoting my time to another game (Eve) and have not created a toon for your server.

My wep. smith (Skanderbeg) can make any of the reforged second age one handed swords or axes. I have a decent number of sigils and fragments, but no symbols. Which one do you need?

I've been playing this for a bit this evening. Did the damned Mirror instance in Moria on solo with my Mini and it was nice enough to get it done without begging to kinnies. Also did a few quests and epic quests in The Great River. The story so far is pretty decent compared to the last few books in Dunland (fuck you, not gonna pick up the nets your recruits are training with), at least you are treated like someone who might have seen a bit more of the world than the NPC. I just wish they would try to make solo quests challenging in some way.

Aldo, we should do some questing in moria together before my champ leaves.

For instance theres that dwarf escort at the charred crossroads....as I recall it sucked balls.

    Also: Sent the mats.

My hype meter has reached astronomical limits for GW2 and I am having a hard time logging on to LOTRO.

I did log in and do a little bit of my baby guards' blue capstone quest but in the end i just killed a few nameless and logged out.

I apologize for my long absence.

I went on and tried the roots of fanghorn quest and could not manage the small venemous spider adds at the boss fights. Very difficult fight.

Thanks for the ax Tamorlane. I'll get on after work and pick it up.

Straight out the window. :) It gets better once you have Dark Before the Dawn. Also: make sure you are traited properly for dps and slot the -power cost trait to fix stuff.

Depends on your level and what content you're missing/interested in. If you're max level and looking to join instances: the Stat Tomes are awesome to further buff your stats with up to 60 points per stat.

and relatively quickly jumped from 71 to 75 with the warden (100% xp bonus right now + rest xp)
now to figure out the gear/faction scramble...

someone said get the Draigoch armor. is that the cyan gear you can trade for at the Adventurer's Quartermaster in Galtrev?
and is it worth it to hop up to ally/kin with Theodred's Riders? or do the new factions have better stuff?

Good luck getting in a Draigoch pug with your warden. It was pretty easy to get in bigger kins last summer, but now it's just run by pugs who only need 1 tank.

    Yeah. . .

Edit: I'm not sure I'm going to be as gung ho for Rohan as I was for RoI. I was so excited for RoI and I sort of feel like I got short changed. I'll need to see that there's the content there before I jump into that pool again.

A question: I bought the Moria expansion when it first came out and switched to Free To Play a few months after it was implemented. Should I be able to access the skirmishes that originally came with Moria?

I could have sworn that Turbine said owners of the original Moria expansion got to keep skirmishes after F2P. I even thought I played some of them after I went F2P, but I noticed today that the original group of skirmish releases (The Prancing Pony, Weathertop, Barrow Downs, etc.) is locked for me.

    Am I just misremembering things?

You mean Mirkwood, but I'm with you. I distinctly remember them saying that those who purchased Mirkwood would keep access to those skirmishes, but I can't find anything to back that up now, and that's clearly not what they did, because those skirmishes are, indeed, paywall locked.

Even if I could dig up whatever made me think they were letting us keep the content we paid for, I'm sure they'd weasel out of it with something about how the skirmishes they were talking about were actually the story skirmishes for Book whatever. While everything else about them seems to have gone downhill, Turbine have gotten quite good at sounding like they're promising one thing, but meaning something else entirely.

Oh, oops. It's been so long that I'm getting updates mixed up. I owned Mirkwood before F2P, too.

Thanks for convincing me I'm not as crazy as I thought I was. I guess at this point I can either bug Turbine for a specific answer or grumble and stick with the Story Skirmishes whenever I need marks. (There is a third option, but I'm not really too keen on buying something that I already paid for.)

Welcome to LOTRO Premium. The options are either remaining a VIP, or dropping a load all at once for the content you don't have access to as Premium. The one time I downgraded to Premium, I was astonished at all the shit I didn't have access to anymore.

Well, my first couple of days back were pretty productive. Got some new anniversary titles, emotes, and what-have-you. Leveled up Flabbo to 72 and a half. Got my tailoring in the westfold up to snuff. I guess that's enough for now. See you all again in a few months. :rotate:

    * ICPR on Lore-master's Lesser Giant Eagle's Aura of Nobility now scales with level.
Probably won't mean much, but this is nice to see at least as a kind of low-level LM

Is there any chance at all that they'll finish the trilogy before this game fades out of existence? At the pace they're moving I'm not sure it's possible.

What is this I don't even.

I have to wonder if it would have kept people more involved, then, if they'd done a better job of progressing the players through the story. I understand that originally they didn't want to burn through the trilogy too fast, since the lore is why most of us showed up. But they've done the opposite, now, taking too long to get us involved in the major war of the ring plot arcs.

What is this I don't even.

I think that's why RoI was ultimately a failed expansion. It took you through Isengard and basically told you you could do nothing about the events going on there. They tried to make you involved in it but when you know you can't bring the place down it sort of felt forced.

I wish we hadn't gone there until the place was being torn apart by the Ents. there's a lot more material there to work with where we could have effected the world. I mean imagine going through the ruins of the complex killing the remnants of the white hand army. . .
