He is super nice. Already kinda house trained. He peed once inside, but it was right before I was gonna let him out. He has pooped only outside.
This is a big deal!
He is super friendly, I am gonna try to crate train him and he likes being in his cage so long as the door isn't closed. He whined a lot last night, but was quiet for a good deal. He is a playful pup but also likes taking naps. He is napping right now.
Doesn't seem to have separation anxiety. Cause I'm so awesome. He was born February 9th.

Ohman Godmode.
We went grocery shopping last night and as I got out of the car I looked across the parking lot and boom. In the bed of the truck parked directly across from us was this absolutely most regal looking Husky. Could have been Mila's twin.
I ogled from afar though because the doggie had that whole "this is my truck. approach and die" look on his face.
I was just like "ohmygod it's Mila! Such a pretty pupppyyyyyyy"
And then the husky looked at me and tried to eat my soul.

My ex's father had Husky Wolf mixes. They were gorgeous. The female was definitely more husky, but her brother was almost completely wolf. At least in appearance.
I saw my neighbor whipping their puppy today after it got off the leash for a moment. These people should not be allowed to own pets.
We've called animal protection on them before when their previous dog lost a dangerous amount of weight after having puppies. She ended up getting taken away, but I'm just as concerned that she might get put down. It doesn't help that they and another family across the street both let their dogs run around on the street and refuse to get them desexed. ARGH.
So is this really just a dog thread? I've got a live feed of a wild eagle feeding his kids and it's just unbelievably adorable and there's no pet/animal thread?? http://www.lasy.gov.pl/bielik
Yeah. The puppy didn't even do anything apart from run around. What do you expect, it's a fucking puppy.
I ran into some stupid airhead bitch and her adorable, unleashed chihuahua puppy on the bike trail once. The puppy, naturally, was running up to everyone and almost getting run over so this diseased fucking twat whines to her boyfriend "God I HATE when he does that! Just HIT him or something!" to which he replied "You need to get him a leash". I'm completely against doemstic violence and all but at that point I would have dropped him a Washington to punch her in the head.
And once, riding down the bike lane on a 4 lane road that is the speedy trap of death in my city, I look to my right and there's this adorable chubby pit bull puppy running at me full tilt from the other side of the road. I slam on the brakes right as he hits the road, he sees me and barrels toward me, full derp mode activated. So I jump off my bike and try to get to him in rush hour traffic with every motherfcuker on their cell phone and not paying attention and almost get hit twice and the puppy actually got driven over once but he was completely under the car so he was fine. But I got him and got super puppy kisses and then his owner, some stupid bitch on a cell phone of course, comes running up and I, like a complete idiot, handed him back to her and yelled at her to get him on a leash. She just waved me off and walked away.
Guys... I could have kept that puppy. It tears me up inside every time I remember it.

Once you get past the second class, I recommend giving Treibball a shot. I'm teaching Sammy right now and it's a lot of fun.
That does look like fun! Unfortunately, I don't have a big enclosed space. Every time I take Mila outside, she's leashed. And huskies are the type to take off without looking back if they aren't held in in any way.

I have a yard to practice in, but many of the basic commands and techniques like positioning and pushing can be done indoors. This weekend I trained Sammy to push by opening all my kitchen cabinets and having him close them when told.
Luckily there are several dog training places nearby with decent rates for training time. It's been well worth the money and my time investment.
My dog, Texas, is a little shit at times. But he's smart about it. We were playing with a toy the other day, and I put it on my lap and told him to leave it alone. You know, just a little random exercise to ensure his obedience. He'd sniff it and try and take it off my lap, but I'd say "no no" and he'd sit back down. So he's sitting, staring at the toy, just waiting for me to slip so he can grab it. I close my eyes to see if he'd dare take it right after I told him not to, and he remained sitting, still waiting. So I decided to start breathing heavy, like I do when I'm asleep, and sure enough, as soon as I started to pretend snore, up he comes on my lap to take the toy.
I much prefer a smart dog to a dumb dog, but that sneakiness and sort of thought process is pervasive of my dog. I have to keep a close eye on him because he's still at that "shitty puppy" phase where he's trying to outwit me at every chance.

Trained or not Huskies are always a runaway concern. Every breeder we talked to before my family got ours was emphatic about that. They love chasing critters and they're not very good at finding their way home.
