people get really butthurt over light-hearted ribbing of their major

probably because they know their major is actually worthless and that they are frauds

Perhaps the unending sea of overplayed trite jibes with a constant undercurrent of not being as tongue in cheek as they like to pretend, mixed with genuine willful ignorance, gets tiresome?

As a liberal arts major, I found that comic hilarious.

As one who studied lyrics both iambic and pentameter
I found the comic well within my comedic parameters!

For what it's worth, I try not to immediately dismiss stuff, which is I guess why I feel the need to analyze every single post no matter how thoughtless the post may have been

that doesn't mean it doesn't have its good ones, or its astonishingly labour-intensive fact-storms

The trick, you know, is not just matching syllables on every line.
You have to match the metric feet; mis-emphasis is asinine.

I hear ya. It's an easy condition to diagnose. Watch this:

"What is your opinion of Linux, Disco Terrier?"
Hah! Trick question! That you would have any opinion about it at all means your female cheeks and neck meat are awash in a sea of wispy beard hair that has been lightly coated with Cheetos dust.

Very sorry to hear this! :(

    It's always such a pleasure pumping blood into your nethers, Chu;
Erections, though, I'm sad to say, to your chair often tether you.

    mein gott, it's beautiful

    i'm terrible at syllabic... whatever-mabobbits

when i try and write in a certain meter or do a haiku or anything at all involving counting, intervals, grouping, anything at all

i sit there like a chump looking slightly upwards while counting on my fingers and muttering angrily to separate syllables in my brain

i'm sure this is just me being dumb and some cognitive shortcoming, but since it's the easy way out i'm gonna blame it on being ETL
