I got the impression that
during the five intervening years, Kal'dur and Aqua Girl did end up getting together. I mean, was she called Aqua Girl during the one episode in which she appeared? I legit can't remember. If they did get together, that would put more weight into Kal'dur's fall from grace. Your girlfriend dying vs. your crush who rejected you dying.
Also, have I mentioned that I really love that Superboy has a problem with monkeys in this universe when there was absolutely no precedent for that in the main continuity? Because I do really love that.
Oh, and I accurately predicted them bringing Zatanna in, so :P

I feel like most everything important in the second season could have worked with a one or two year time skip and would have felt less jarring.
I also feel like this show would have worked better in an hour long format. It feels like the story needs more breathing room.
I loved the handling of Superboy, Martian and Artimis's sub-stories in season one. Some people are calling it cliche but I think that's wrong. I can't think of another show where a good character is blackmailed and instead of them making a lot of stupid mistakes because of it everybody just admits what's going on and then they go beat the bad guys.

we skipped these five years
and now we are going to tell you about them anyway
like, if you are just going to do that, then why do the skip?
What that means is that instead of developing stuff naturally, it feels really jarring. You get the same end point, you just fuck up the middle bit.
And I am not saying a time-skip flashback method of storytelling can't work
just that int this circumstance, it doesn't seem to have done so
Plus this way there gets to be more Shocking Twists! like when kid flash turns out to be zoom or something silly.
so, in forwarding the timeline, we are given that sense of 'what is going on?', which is projected onto the characters
I like it better than a season of 'we still don't know what happened, sorry'
I don't mind some of the changes (I do mind others but whatever)
but it annoys me that we never actually saw them happen
it's just "oh no that happened and is in the past now"
and I am like "hey I was watching that!"
I just got to this part and what.
God dammit. I like this show but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh
Okay, I can't watch this yet but
He isn't in this episode
Way to ruin the best character in the show

Was refreshing.
Then again, they talked about Ted Kord being murdered like 10 minutes later soooooo
Coran Attack!
YJ is aimed a little older so Im sure they can do the drug thing..
the moment with Superman and the krolitains in episode 3 was perfect
Specifically, how Blue Beetle's friend might end up being
Coran Attack!
Blank why is it that when you started liking this show I started to get really annoyed by it
it makes me sad
also Solar
because god hates you is why
God isn't real
hee hee
edit: I do like some of the stuff. But then there is some other stuff that is less than excellent
