You should indicate who is in your cabin through your Order PM. Each night, any player who is guarding MUST submit an order PM stating they are guarding and the rest of their team.
Any player that is guarding will only ever be in a team with the players named in their PM. Non-guards may also submit order PM's with their team members. The PM's from non-guards will be used if needed to clarify which team a player is on.
The full Team Conflict Resolution Protocol (TCRP) is spoilered below:
1.) All players who send in a guard PM are guarding. They should state the players they are guarding tonight (no more than 3 others); this will be their team. It is fine to have more than one player guarding a specific team, but both must submit PM's. As long as the team members are the same in both guard PM's, everything will be fine.
2.) If a player is included on multiple teams, I will look to see if that player has submitted orders. If they have, they will be with the team they indicate in their PM. If not, they will be RNG'd into one of the teams.
3.) In a case where multiple guards cause a team to exceed 4 people, the team will be split into two. Any overlapping players will be RNG'd to one of the appropriate guards.
In the event you are on a team without a guard, you should send in a team PM to avoid exposure death. Your team will consist of any of the team members in your PM that have you in their PM and also do not have a guard. If this causes a team to go over 4 people, I will RNG into 2 teams, with at least 2 people in each.

By far the most difficult part of developing this phalla was figuring out how to deal with conflicts in team orders. One of my big goals in this phalla (aside from having a good game) was to see if the guarding system was workable. I settled on using the guard's PM's because it seemed like the easiest way to organize things.
Unfortunately, it means I still need to account for multiple guards, among lots of other things.
The easiest way to think about it is that whoever is guarding has the final say over who is on their team tonight. In cases where two guard say something contradictory, I'll use any non-guard PM's, then RNG.
The specific answer to your question is:
If player B was the only guard for that team, he could invite whomever he wanted to the team and would not need knowledge or consent of the other team members to do so.
I am happy to accept guarding/team orders from a team proboard. Just keep in mind that any orders I get in a PM will override any orders submitted on a proboard.
