There could be an issue if their former cabin-mates get suspicious and call a guard-vig on the confirmed villager. It wouldn't go through and they might get the impression that their erstwhile companion is being shady. Not to mention the fact that if your old cabin-mates think you're, for example, guarding them that night they might end up dead at the hands of the mafia a bit more easily than they would have if you just told them you were leaving so they could find other defensive buddies.

There's nothing to keep the mafia from doing the exact same thing then.

this is absolutely true, but with public lists, the mafia couldn't do that for very long without being outed. A network being outed isn't a huge deal, they can openly say it. But a mafia with inconsistencies like that would be found out.

A seer or a guard getting outed is actually a really fucking big deal?

Langly, are you saying that the network can be all secretive, except for the part where they have to tell the village who they are?

Dear everyone: if you have anyone in your cabin that you are suspicious of, maybe try guarding also on a night they guard so as to not be stabbed in/around the face area while you sleep. May put you on guard cooldown, but it's better than being dead, yeah?

Sort of. Later you won't have enough guards to go around and then your entire cabin can get deaded really easily.

I agree with REG, I don't think its smart to not get into a cabin with at least one other person.

no? I'm saying an advantage the network will have, if it forms via a seer, will be that they can cabin together without telling anyone. If this is ever outed via the public lists, through inconsistencies or whatever, it's not like they're in a bad position. They can have that representative just say "hey yo, i'm in the network".

The mafia can't do that, unless they know for certain that there isn't a network.

Because ten hours until vote close is a large enough window that nobody is going to sleep through it.

I could totally sleep through that. Man, I wish I were now...

Er, so I have made a miscalculation and find myself footloose and cabin-free for the evening. (Basically I thought I'd pm'd Egos about joining his yesterday, but I forgot, and now it's full)

Anyone got room for a tiny little camper who absolutely won't kill you and eat your delicious, delicious skin?

TRV told me everything. He in fact trusted me so completely that he gave me his bunk when he left the game. So. Uh. Sorry about that. If you can't find a place to sleep I'll step out into the dark with you tonight.
