“Well, perhaps when then learn to hunt as I can, they will appreciate some of the finer things.” Rend adjust his monocle. The crosshairs etched into them had served him well over the last few nights. He initially requested his parents send him to Camp Phalla Lake to broaden his horizons. He never expected that he would get the opportunity to hunt as well. The skinchangers had proven far easier to catch than he had expected.
Darksun raised his glass of sparkling cider. “A toast. To seeing the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening. May we bear witness to it for years to come.”
As they clinked glasses, both had a knowing smile on their face. Only one would see the sun rise again.
And even Rend would not get to see it set.
He was not surprised when the other campers carried Jonathan's body to the campfire in the morning.
He was a bit more shocked when they blamed it on him.
As Rend's body lay bludgeoned, the laugh of Sunkamanitu Tanka echoed again throughout the camp. The campers gasped as a gigantic raven flew above their heads.
“Hahaha, you strike at me, and I will always return stronger tenfold. I walk among you even now, even in your innermost circles. I hear your plans and I grin the grin of certain victory”
Anyway, INANTP, I don't really have a better answer than a hunch. I guess you could question the reasoning behind it, but can you really complain about the results?
This seems like the perfect situation for Rend to cash in his never lying policy.
How yesterday should have gone:
Rend - I am the vig. Do not vote me out.
Everyone else - Oh, Rend never lies, better not vote him out, I guess Rysk is mafia.

This doesn't put you in a bad position in later games because you're not answering the "are you village" question. You're claiming a specific role, something that anyone would have done in your shoes, truthfully. Somehow, your meta game prevented you from making an honest assertion that anyone else would have been willing to make.
I would love to hear after the game why this was not an option.
Yeah, I feel like stonewalling to that degree was counterproductive. Phalla sort of breaks down a bit if people just take the fifth all the time, I guess?
I would like to say that, while I am the last mafia member the game will not end tonight. The matter of the SK is still relevant. Now I have my suspicions on who it could be but I need to not be on my phone to make a more precise post.
That or they can decide to get in touch. Guess ill give them some time.
