If this thread already exists forgive me and go ahead and trash this one but I was unable to find anything.

So the holiday season is approaching and so are the gaming deals trying to catch some of our dollars. I thought it would be nice to have a thread where we can post the deals we find, rumors of sales and such for the upcoming season.

To start it off Target is doing a Buy 2 Get 1 on Wii games this week which is pretty standard these days. To sweeten the pot a little bit there is an online coupon for $10 off the purchase of 2 Wii (or DS) games. So that is Buy 2 Get 1 -$10 on any Wii games over $14.99 so you could possibly get 3 (crappy) games for $6.66 a piece!

also there are rumors of Walmart including a $100 gift card with the purchase of a $200 Xbox 360 Arcade unit.

What I want right now is a great in-store deal for Modern Warfare 2. I know there's Amazon and Wal-mart's e-cards, but I'd rather buy a physical copy on launch day and avoid the wait for shipping.

Especially since there's apparently a postal strike going on, which would explain why 3 weeks later I still haven't received my copy of Demon's Souls.

in the same vein I am looking for a good deal (preorder or otherwise) on New Super Mario Bros: Wii. I'll be purchasing it regardless but I'd like to get some free crappy trinket or something

All I've heard of is Gamestop's dumb ass "finish it before Christmas and we'll give you $30 for it" deal.

Doesn't it still need to be in stock for them to pricematch? The BB I went to had to spend 15 minutes looking around the back for the copy I bought, and it was the last one. YMMV if they still have any on sunday

Supposing I was really interested in Lego Rock Band for 360...

I really like RB Drumsets and I prefer the clicky GH guitars.

What would be the cheapest way for me to acquire a clicky guitar, a cymbal-less drumset, and Lego Rock Band?

Also assume I might not be willing to go out on Black Friday.

(Or you could just try to convince me that the Guitar Hero drumsets are better. That might work too.)

The multiplayer is fucking incredible, and a bigger focus than people realize. Everyone should play it.

I got everything _I_ was going to get out of that game, but it is certainly not a terrible game that no one should play. It is worth checking out, especially since they were selling those signed copies on the DF site a while back.
