As mentioned in an earlier thread, I'm available to run games of The Burning Wheel RPG in the Sheraton lobby that night. Several people expressed interest elsewhere, but it'd be nice to get a consolidated sign-up here.
For groups of 2-4 people we have the basic demo scenario The Sword, a search for a lost relic that begins at the end of the quest - and deals with the fallout of having found it at all.
For five to eight players (I should be so lucky) there's The Gift, a scenario about pride, hospitality, succession, and the kinds of consequences that happen when you fail an Etiquette roll in the court of the Elvish Prince. It is awesome.
Is it possible to leave the game at the info table to not be checked out if say, we show up early to game with it, and come back?
I am trying to wing it so I don't have to carry it to dinner and back but if I must, I will just keep it with me.
what do you call a pile of kittens? A meoooowntain! itweet

I don't see why not. You might want to bring a pad of stickie notes to mark it just in case nothing is at the table to use. Throw 'em in the box today.
Anyone interested in a game of Power Grid? I can also bring Carcassonne.
I'd play Power Grid. However, I don't even land at SEA until 18:00, and I'm not sure what my roommates will want to do for dinner, so I don't know how late I'll show up or even if I'll be able to show up at all.
(Silly personal commitments causing me to pick a later flight than I'd like.)
Were you in the game with my son (The kinda know-it-all 8 year-old) in the Sheraton lobby last year?
That was totally me and my boyfriend in that group (among others)! Rematch time! Wait, didn't I win by Divine Intervention? For real!
We will be stopping by the Sheraton at Prime and hopefully be able to stop and play. While we were at East, we had no time to play, but I smiled very large each time I walked to/from that area near the elevators.
I can't wait to see everyone! PAX is just around the corner now! You can tell I'm excited, I can't stop !!!!'ing!
I remember a game of Munchkin at last year's meetup that had 2 people win by Divine Intervention at the same time. And I called it.
Anyway, I will also be arriving at the Sheraton with games in tow. I plan on bringing the following (subject to changes in plans or whims of course):
Thunderstone Advance + Caverns of Bane
Betrayal at House on the Hill; 1st edition
Ninja Burger + 1 (If I remember to print out new rules)
I'll be getting in pretty late (I'm staying at the Sheraton) because of the whole I ordered plane tickets way too late thing (I will never trust Bing travel again), hopefully I'll be able to get in on some semi-late night action if I'm not exhausted.
This is A LOT to absorb. I recently got into table top thanks a friend of mine who went board game insane. So far, I've only played Ticket to Ride and Cards Against Humanity from the list, which is quite sad. I'm just glad I've at least heard of some of them, and not a completely 100% n00b.

Very, very few people have heard of all the games on that list. That's the beauty of the meetup - you get to try all kinds of games you haven't played yet, in the comfort and relative safety of a supportive and helpful community.
I asked this at the Tabletop Thread, and I ask this here too. I'm looking to see if I can get some serious gamers for the World of Warcraft Board Game (the huge Fantasy Flight one). I've played only a hand full of times since I've gotten it, and I really want another go at it. The problem of course is that it is a huge game, and bag space is a premium. Would anyone be interested in playing this, if so I'll drag it with me.
If you're concerned about bag space, I can reasonably guarantee that this will be available for checkout in the TT Freeplay library at the Red Lion (Tabletop will have two Freeplay libraries this year during PAX - one in the WSCC, one at the Red Lion). 'course, this would be during PAX itself, not the pre-PAX board game night. Sorry for the topic drift.

this will be so fantastic! I've been getting into table top more and more these days and im looking forward to trying out many different games!
Slim, Relax, Fine Wine At The Qfc, On A Snowy Saturday Night

I actually own Carcasonne, but I got no one to play it with...it's a shame really (same thing with Catan). The same friend I mentioned owns Descent and have been wanting to try it out, so hopefully I will get to play it before PAX. I do want to try Arkham or at least observe a game; I was told it's kinda like Mansion of Madness, which is something I've played a few times, so it'd be cool to compare it in person!
Just the sheer thought of seeing ALL different kinds of board games in one room is very exciting AND scary at the same time. I can't wait!

Keep in mind that this meetup is only a precursor. The games that are here are brought by individuals and represent only a small slice of everything that's on the market. Be sure to check out the two official PAX tabletop freeplay areas during the convention. Every game imaginable is available for free checkout.

I will definitely do that! It's going to be an eye opener for me!

Does it have both expansions? That's why I really love mine is that I've got everything for it,
3-Day Pass [x]
Hotel Booked [x]
Drive Fiancee Batty over PAX [x][x][x]

You're going to have an awesome time. This will be my second time at the board game meetup and last years was lots of fun. I was with friends last year and this year I'll be alone so it will force me to meet/play games with strangers. I'm excited!
I'll be joining in the evening and bringing along my copy of Ticket To Ride: Europe. See you all there!
I've only played this game like twice, but I kinda like it. Are people OK with playing with those of us who are still learning all the strategy for it? (it's like playing chess with an novice :P)
(someone ironically I own TTR:E, but won't be bringing it because it's kinda big and I have to fly.)
My copy of Zombicide showed up a couple days ago so I will most definitely be bringing that. Thankfully they were ahead of schedule; I was super bummed when they were originally going to ship after PAX.

HOLY CRAP! Those have already shipped? My friend did the Kickstarter. I can't wait to check it out!
Goodbye, plucky, pimply teen. I think you're ready now to hear the truth. This wasn't really a magic hubcap. The magic was inside you all along.
I'll be coming by before the Tri-Wizard. I think I'll be too drunk to play games after... besides, if you're going to do OPEN at PAX, how can you stay up that late?

Yeah, they originally said September but they are clearly a bit ahead of schedule and squeaked it out just in time for PAX! In theory, it will hit retail before the end of the month too I believe.

Finish gaming at 4:00AM, then go sleep on the ground outside the door until 10:00.... duh.
I thought it was supposed to rain a lot in Seattle. That should be more than sufficient.
P.S. I hope nobody actually takes any of this seriously.
I guess you aren't aware of the timeless PAX tradition? You must remember to bathe your bobcat at least once a day. Taking a bath yourself, or even with the bobcat, is entirely optional.
<@heels> Ravenger: i do not talk to anyone
<+Ravenger> you are talking to me

I obviously can't speak for everyone, but I'm going to have fun, not be super competitive and win. So yes, I'm okay playing with noobs :P Besides, I'm no Bobby Fischer myself!
I won't be getting into Seattle until late Thursday (about midnight) and therefore won't be able to make it to the Sheraton before probably 1:30-2:00ish. That being said, I have a plethora of board games and I can bring probably three or four of them (depending on how big they are) if anyone thinks the meetup will still be going on at 2 a.m.
If so, my selection is:
Thunderstone Advance + Caverns of Bane
Descent Second Edition
Warhammer Invasion
A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (2nd ed.)
Ascension + Storm of Souls
Kingdom Builder
Small World
Arkham Horror
So yeah, if this shindig is still gonna be running in the wee hours of the morning, I'll gladly bring along any games that y'all would be interested in.
I know I'll be bringing Thunderstone Advance + CoB, so there's no need for a second copy there... Unless you feel like bringing it. :P
I'd recommend Warhammer Invasion at minimum. No one here has yet pledged to bring a copy, and I personally know it is a fine game. Beyond that? Knock yourself out.

Well I'll probably pop my head in after being out drinking with the wizards.
