Batman #12 pretty meh on the whole Harper Row story,(though I'm betting she replaces Damian as Robin after whatever happens at the end of Inc #12), though nice Batman cameo.

I really hope DC doesn't replace Damien. Or if they do, they would at least have the sense to do it with Stephanie.

Did they ever explain how Damien is 12 years old despite the fact that in new52 continuity Bruce has only been Batman for 5 years

I'm a little loopy with my wisdom teeth removed (and thus my hot knive fingers are forever lost), so I haven't gotten to the other dialogue heavy books like Batman and B&R yet:

Gambit #1 wasn't as funny as Asmus' usual stuff, and there's some stuff where it feels like he's trying to play reverse sexy with the genders a bit too much, but it's a good solid first issue and the last page sets up the first arc. Here is Gambit trying to get his stealing groove back:
    gambit1a.jpg

    gambit1b.jpg

    gambit1c-1.jpg

    gambit1d.jpg

In terms of series launches, it goes Hawkeye > Gambit > Captain Marvel

Scarlet Spider #8 is fun with the Rangers (who seem to be now just the Southwest team and not just Texas), and it gets a little preachy (well not quite this issue, but it's there for future stories) with the villain reveal, but still a good book showing how Kaine has trouble dealing with other heroes:

See, In Galveston at the Roxxon Refinery they were using "indigenoues" people (illegals) to experiment on this device that does this:

Venom #22 was my favorite this week as well. Sad that Remender is leaving, but I'm glad he got to guide the character for as long as he did. He does really well with damaged, but redeemable characters, and he's set up an awesome one for the next guy to carry on.

If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten in your presence.

Who is doing the art on Fantastic Four?

Ryan Stegman, former Scarlet Spider artist.

He's a nice catch, I would think he is going to be the second artist on one of the many NOW books (no need for Bagley to have another artist on FF really)

The only way Damien not being Robin works for me is if he goes and sidekicks with Nightwing.

If that happens, everything is groovy.

My motw: Mostly Venom #22 but also some Transformers:RID #8 (the ending of which upset my inner eight year old self, DON'T YOU HURT THEM BOTS! D: )

I'm ashamed to admit I really enjoyed Space Punisher #2.

And I won't even mention the many other great books this week.

    Just Space Punisher #2.

My favorite book this week was Archer & Armstrong from Valiant. I highly recommend it! Archer is a brainwashed young man raised by a cult to believe he is meant to hunt down the Ultimate Evil. Armstrong is an immortal 10,000 year old Mesopotamian turned bouncer in NYC. Together, they fight crime!

Somehow, Archer & Armstrong was left out of my stack of comic books when I took them to work.

I bought a couple copies of it, too.

Batman & Robin #12, fun end to the arc, the Robins appear again, and Batman shows off another Bat-armor. Plus, Dick shows why he is best at training Damian:

see, just a simple acknowledgement of his skills and Damian's taken out of his little crazy mode. Good teacher.

Pat Gleason's art is just so good.

Needs heavy streamlining. This scene from that issue with all the Robins shows why it doesn't work. It's too busy.
    tumblr_m8gwp2Fhsf1r8gjofo1_1280.jpg

It also shows why Nightwing's costume is red now. He fits in with the family.

Batman and Robin had some cool scenes (would love for it just to be The Robins book), but the whole villain/ "main" story was very undeveloped / boring(to me).

Archer and Armstrong was fucking awesome. Between that, Punk Rock Jesus, and The Massive, it was a very good week for the smaller imprints and left-of-field stuff.

Also, Batman and Robin 12 was just as awesome as Space Punisher. I wanted to stand up and salute the sun king when I finished that book.

It seems more like an alternate reality than anything, at least going off the first issue. But it's freaking the Punisher in Space... why slow the book down with explanations?
He's hunting down the Intergalactic Mafia that killed his family. The first captain he takes out is a brood queen with a venom symbiote.
