Sounds good. I'll probably be bringing Thunderstone anyway so my coworker and I have something to do if we're, for some unthinkable reason, bored in our hotel room. I'll bring along Invasion and probably Descent aside from that. Maybe Kingdom Builder in case some lighter fare is needed.
Is there any point in bringing games at this point? I only have one or two, and it seems that everybody and their mother is bringing huge bags of games

A good rule of thumb is to bring something that you want to play, or want to show others how to play. If there's already games you like listed in the OP, just show up.
The board game meetup has been given dedicated gaming rooms at the Sheraton. Diamond Room & Chelan Room, across from the fireplace in the lobby, kind of behind the desks.
PLEASE READ THE FULL INFORMATION POST IN THE OP.
There will be a server working the tables, but you're also welcome to walk over and order food/drinks from the bar and restaurants yourself. Table service might be a bit slow.
THE INFO TABLE WILL BE IN THE MAIN LOBBY BAR - this is to direct people arriving in the lobby to the correct rooms (and to be close to the liquor source). If you're interested in coordinating a check-out/info table inside one of the two rooms, please send me a PM. It's really just babysitting a clipboard and maybe some cookies and games.
Hi everyone ... might be a little late to the race so to speak, but we have just discovered that we are going to be able to send some game reps to PAX to run Demo's of our upcoming board game release "Democracy: Majority Rules." Since we are running so late, it is impossible to get a booth of any kind, so we are just going to send 3 or 4 people with copies of Democracy to run Demo's at the Con all weekend. We would like to send a couple of people here on Thursday. My only question I suppose is whether or not we would be allowed to put up a small vertical banner by whatever table we are set up at? LexiconGrrl ... might you know if this is allowed, or who we should ask?
Also, for clarity and since we are so new to the scene, Make•Believe Games is Mark Rein•Hagen's new gaming enterprise (Mark is the former owner of White Wolf Publishing, creator of the World of Darkness ... Vampire: the Masquerade, Werewolf: the Apocalypse ... etc, and a former WotC board member), and the Democracy Kickstarter is scheduled to begin on August 30th.
@Make Believe Games - There's no reason why you couldn't be there, so long as you only used a single table (so as not to hog table space from the players) and didn't have any invasive presentation gimmicks, like a loudspeaker or loud music or anything. Also, please respect the PAX-wide edict against booth babes.
If you stay respectful to the primary purpose of this event, and the attendees will gladly share their space. If a company comes in acting all douchey (loud, pushy, etc...), there will be a riot to have them kicked out and no one will buy their game.
Would the banner need to be attached to the wall, or is it free standing? Attached signage is something I'd need to ask the hotel about.

I am going to have to find you based off the World of Darkness interest alone. Will be good to see what Mark Rein is coming up with next!

Just to be clear, this event is 100% non-affiliated with PAX. LexiconGrrl does not represent PA or PAX in any manner, and is running this event simply for attendees to enjoy some tabletop before PAX starts. As far as this event goes, I agree with LexiconGrrl that as long as you aren't taking up space that general folks want to be able to use you should be fine, BUT it's very possible that the Sheraton itself has some agreement that would prevent solicitation, and you should likely contact the Sheraton about that directly.
AT PAX, you are not permitted to set up shop as an exhibitor (as far as I know) in the freeplay areas unless you are a paid exhibitor and have space allocated. This doesn't mean that you can't simply show up with some of your games and see if people want to play them, but anything seen as solicitation would likely be frowned upon. PAX actually has "tabletop demo" areas and tables at which exhibitors can purchase time that are not affiliated with booth space, and this is what is generally used by folks in your situation.
Both of these answers are based on what information I have from these forums and similar situations in the past. I also do not speak for PAX, but you should definitely not expect to be able to show up at PAX itself and exhibit without being an exhibitor. For an official answer, you should contact pax_questions@paxsite.com and possibly PM @Lackey on these forums (he's an enforcer in the tabletop area and may be able to direct you to official policy or the right person with which to communicate).
Thanks for the feedback everybody! We ended up getting in touch with Christian Kelley who, as I understand it, is the head of tabletop gaming. We purchased one of the last available tables and several badges, so we will be there in an official capacity!!! @FenrisFang - Definitely come look us up! We would love to chat!
Hey guys just tuning in, I am stoked for this! I will surely be there and I have a copy of Zombicide I'll be hosting, possibly all night long as its a fantasticly fun game. Other games in the hopper I have are Puzzle Strike, Dominion, Civilization: The Board Game, Cards Against Humanity and Ticket to Ride.
I've decided to bring a blast from the (1984) past and bring Mertwig's Maze. Old school adventure game that's kind of a precursor to Runebound and such. I've got a few more obscure games I'll be bringing too, but that's my crown jewel.

Hey unless someone else offered to bring it might wanna change stratego to maybe. Foinf over my list of what I'm bringing to pax and esitmating the room ill need for swag and stuff and at this point it doesn't look like ill be able to fit it. Like I said though. Make it a maybe since I won't know for sure until I pack Wednesday night
I can bring Catan and Dominion if people are interested even though im sure there will be plenty of copies. I was wondering if anyone has a copy of siege of the citadel and would be willing to bring it? I haven't played it in years but I remember it being super fun. Unfortunatly it seems to be super hard to get a hold of/expensive these days

I'll probably be there later on in the evening, but I'll bring my copy of Arkham Horror.
User name Alazull on Steam, PSN, Nintenders, Epic, etc.
My boyfriend and I will be joining you all for game night at a minimum. We might be +/- 1 or 2 more. We haven't gotten a yes or no from the other two yet. I haven't cemented my games I'm bringing with me to PAX yet, but I will at least have Cthulu Dice and Cthulu Gloom with me. There's a few more games I'm thinking about bringing, but I haven't decided on them either way. I'm really tempted to bring my LEGO games I got for Christmas.

You mean the LEGO boardgames like battling the minotaur? I have wanted to try those. I probably won't have time to stay and play at this event but if you bring them I'd make a serious effort to find you over the weekend and give one a go.

EDIT: Now, if only Fantasy Flight would get off their asses and finish Android: Netrunner before PAX...
The Sheraton has concerns about fire code violations with so many people in the lobbies....
...So they're giving us dedicated gaming rooms.
I'll post more specifics as they become available. W00t!
Right? I'm dying to play that game. I need something to scratch my cyberpunk itch.
You are good at this. Please continue doing this.

Not sure what I'm bringing - depends on what's left after he's decimated our collection to provide to the TT Lending Library for the weekend.
