I'm at wit's end. I've got a clean install of Java and Adobe Flash Catalyst, and whenever I try to start Catalyst I get the following error dialog:
There's only one thread I can find on Google that's specific to Catalyst for this issue, and the answer is for a different error code. A couple of threads for the same error code related to Flex & Eclipse (if I'm reading that dialog right, I think the eclipse plugin is what's having the fit), but the fix involves editing the associated .ini files, which I'd love to, but Flash Catalyst doesn't fucking have them. I hate cryptic conflicts between disparate software.
Well, this is a 32-bit OS and it won't even allow me to install the 64-bit Java platform, so that's out of the question.
Like I said above, there's no ini files or config files for me to dick around with. Catalyst just uses the plugins, and they're set-up with JAR class files.

This is far more specific. and suggests that you may have a 32bit eclipse and a 64bit jvm as your problem. Bonus points, because the error screen is identical: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4945178/cannot-run-eclipse-jvm-terminated-exit-code-13
This gives further insight into how a user created this error and resolved it, even after sorting out the apparently common problems of 32bit vs 64bit: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8486492/java-exit-code-13-on-eclipse-rcp-application-indigo
