Orange Box is the name of the special collection that Ep 2, Portal and TF2 will be sold in retail. It also includes HL2 and Ep 1. It's the only way to get Ep 2 and the bonus games outside steam, so people just call the entire thing orange box.
Yeah, I know you can get it off Steam if you've got it registered, but my connection is wonky sometimes so it might end up taking longer to download than switching out 5 CDs.
I'm really pissed, because I'm playing HL 2 right now, and my mouse just died even though it's brand-new.
So, I'm stuck for another couple days without a mouse. And hopefully, after I get one, I'll be getting Episode 1 shortly.
If that's why you stopped, you should have never started.
no I mean I had gotten to the point that I was really great at conc-jumping
I could win all the ctf-style maps easily as a medic
but then I tried to play something else and my team would always lose because some jackass was on the other team conc-jumping and no one could consistently stop them
so I'd go back to playing medic, and the games would deteriorate into who had the fastest conc-jumper on their team
because nothing could stop you consistently if you were good
It's going to be like that in TF2. People will always find some way to play the system in a "cheap" way to win. That's why you only play with guys you know.

eh
without grenades I don't know how you'd be able to consistently beat all the other jobs
I never had a problem with people playing "cheap" in cs, for instance
If digital distribution and episodic gaming is the future, they're going to need to work out a way for "episodes" to not take years. When they take years they're typically called sequels.

This is just Valve being all orgasmic over Portal and assholes demanding TF2. EP2 was done months and months ago, but they wanted to release Portal and TF2 with EP2, so they delayed it.
And 2 years isn't nearly a sequel. You're thinking 4-5.
But yeah, I want these fuckers much quicker than 2 years. If I have to wait two years for a 5 hour game, damnit, just keep it in development for an extra 3 and send me a 40 hour game.

Star Wars.
Or in the case of Star Wars don't make episodes at all.

I tried playing the first Half Life and died a lot and was generally no good at it.
I've watched my friends play the second one pretty much from beginning to end.
It looks so fun but god damnit, why can't I play it.
I've got to exchange my mouse for one that works, tomorrow, so I can get back to Half Life 2.
Made it to Anticitizen One, and my mouse broke for some reason. Then I'm going to go back and play through the first game, since I only played about 2 levels of it and skipped straight to the sequel.

Edit: So late
I nearly got canned from a job when I slept in 'cause I was up crazy late playing Episode One.
You already have HL2 on a format that isn't 5 CDs.
It's called the motherfucking future.
ORLY, Bombardier? And what, pray tell, class will you be playing as?
fuck you
(this is why I stopped playing that game)
No grenades.
Shit
I hated the conc shit but I was such an engineer-nade whore
I don't even remember what those grenades were called, I just remember killing everything with them
yeah they just needed to be removed
EMPs were the shit.
Hey, uh, Heavy. I'm just going to blow up all of the shells and explosives you're carrying. That cool with you?
So, I'm stuck for another couple days without a mouse. And hopefully, after I get one, I'll be getting Episode 1 shortly.
That's a terrible reason to stop playing.

I just got bored of cs the old fashioned way.
Heavy Moustache Guy, obviously.
