So, any other offers before I decide where the speaker token lands?

This is getting ugly. Negotiations become an arms race as to who can offer the LEAST erotic Twilight Imperium fan fiction.

  • KilnagaKilnaga Registered User regular
Well, since the offers have descended far into twisted joke land, I think it is time to just place the token.

    Speaker token goes to @stever777.

With that the L1z1x will play our political card: Supported Expansion

    Supported Expansion
For: Starting with the Speaker, each player may place 1 free Ground Force on 1 uncontrolled planet of his choice.
Against: Each player loses control of each non-Home System that he does not have at least 1 unit on.

Votes begin with the Speaker. L1z1x would like to remind the Speaker of previous agreements already paid for regarding territory rights in case the motion passes.

So everybody doesn't have to rush to look crap up, the current Influence standings of each race should be:

    Jol-Nar - 8 I

    Naalu - 7 I

    L1z1x - 5 I

    Creuss - 3 I

    Muaat - 5 I

    Yin - 4 I

It's hard to tell without a map update, but those current influence values are incorrect. Jol-Nar is at 9 and Yin is at 6.

  • KilnagaKilnaga Registered User regular
Ohhh, the listed value on the Yin planet was the values counting the reverse, not that it needed to be?

The Universities remain undecided, but by my count over 50% have already weighed in yes? So the matter is already settled, 18 for, 17 undeclared?

Round 2: Start of Action Phase

The Embers of Muaat: Select (5) Trade II Strategy Card.
The Yin Brotherhood: Select (1) Leadership Strategy Card.
Universities of Jol-Nar: Select (4) Production Strategy Card.
The Naalu Collective: Select (6) Warfare II Strategy Card, converting the bonus counter into a Trade Good (TG 0 --> 1).
The L1z1x Mindnet: Select (3) Assembly Strategy Card.
The Ghosts of Creuss: Select (8) Bureaucracy Strategy Card, converting the bonus counter into a Command Counter placed in Fleet Supply (FS 4 --> 5).
The top card of the Objective Deck is flipped revealing the Stage I Objective: [1 VP] I am blockading an opponent's Space Dock.

A bonus counter is placed on the (2) Diplomacy II and (7) Technology II Strategy Cards.

OK, I've corrected the error in the accounting for Yin's swapping ability - I forgot to reset it at the end of Round 1.

    Assembly Vote
    The L1z1x Mindnet: 5 votes - FOR
The Ghosts of Creuss: 3 votes - AGAINST
The Embers of Muaat: 5 votes - AGAINST
The Yin Brotherhood: 6 votes - FOR
    Universities of Jol-Nar: 8 votes
The Naalu Collective: 7 votes - FOR

I'd like to remind players that voting starts with the person to the Speaker's left and ends with the Speaker. But the vote is set, and players may go ahead and resolve the FOR part of the Political Card. We'll resolve the secondary afterwards, since everyone excepting the Jol-Nar will then have exhausted planets to potentially refresh.

EDIT: If anyone needed a list of unclaimed planets, here's the list after accounting for Naalu and L1z1x's picks.
    N - Abaddon (1R, 0I, R)
    N - Arinam (1R, 2I, B)
    N - Ashtroth (2R, 0I)
    N - Loki (1R, 2I)
    N - Meer (0R, 4I)
    N - Mirage (1R, 2I, F (x2))
    N - Quann (2R, 1I, G)
    N - Rigel I (0R, 1I, G)
    N - Tar'mann (1R, 1I)
    N - Tequ'ran (2R, 0I, R)
    N - Thibah (1R, 1I)
    N - Torkan (0R, 3I, B)
    N - Wellon (1R, 2I)

Jol-Nar is not pleased with Muaat's annexation of a planet directly adjacent to the Universities' home system. Especially with Quaan and Tarman so much closer to home.

I believe that planet is controlled, therefore not eligible.

Oh did you have some sort of deal worked out? I hadn't been paying attention.

Anyway, I do not plan on playing trade until much later in the round, did anyone want me to play it earlier? Just thought I would ask before Creuss went.
