Feedback on Animations

My latest animation, I'm always looking for feedback from a diverse range of artists. The big thing I'm working with now is the background. I'm currently utilizing different colored sheets that are hanging up but this lends itself to some inconsistencies in the background itself and I'm trying to figure out a way to create a more consistent, easily modified background that could be used for a wide range of shots. Thoughts?

Feel free to throw out a few ideas you think would be interesting for future projects as well! Much appreciated everybody!

    were you trying to keep it all strictly stop motion? Honestly while watching the video there's enough going on that I didn't really notice the inconsistent backgrounds, but through a little digital magic you could probably even things out. What programs are you using for this?

    Oh, and its really awesome dude. Stop motion requires the most patience, so mad respect.

    I mostly use aftereffects and photoshop for editing purposes. This may have been a bad choice for a video to showcase what I mean about the backgrounds. I guess it's more of a problem when I utilize wide-shots of the scenery and you can actually see the background rendered in much greater scale. Probably more apparent in this one, particularly in the wide shots of the city.

    Painted board may, at least, show its texture less. If you are just hanging the paper, the inconsistency is probably from slight movement, so maybe just sticking it against something would help.

    You can probably also mask out the backgrounds and flatten them a bit manually, but its probably going to be a pain in the neck.
