I wrote a game that combines the skill demands of pinball wizardry with the action of an arcade game. It's already out for the mobile platform, but I'm about to release it for the PC and Mac. I need your help having it tested! Some features:

- 20 big levels of play
- Mini-bosses and challenges
- Hit combos, power-ups, enhancements
- Cross-platform leaderboard
- Achievements and unlockable features (like following the ball around, tilting the playfield, and multicolor ball trails)
- Extra game types (endurance mode where it's just your ball and tons of aliens, and boss-run mode where each level is a different challenge)

Free PC beta download from: http://www.hyperspacepinball.com/HyperspacePinballSetup.exe
Free Mac beta download from: http://www.hyperspacepinball.com/HyperspacePinball.dmg

If you have an Android device, you can get the already released version for free from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamieon.hyperspacepinball

I just played a few rounds of this and I had some real fun. I love pinball and arcade games so this is right up my alley.

My first impression is that the flippers feel a little weak. I don't know if it's your intention for them to feel slightly underpowered until you gather some powerups, it was just a bit of a shock to flip the ball off the end of my flipper and see it just kind of lazily arc across the middle of the table. Once I got some power ups going it felt a lot snappier and more powerful so maybe this is your intention?

Also is there any chance that you can add some basic gamepad support? I find playing pinball games with the controller a lot more satisfying with the flippers mapped to the bumpers on my 360 pad and other functions mapped where they fit best. I'm using Xpadder to accomplish this so it's no problem for me, still a lot of gamers aren't aware of programs like Joy2Key and Xpadder. Native controller support might be a nice feature to consider.

As a whole though this is pretty delightful. The music, sound effects and graphics are fun and once I got used to the physics and obtained some powerups it felt really nice smashing aliens to bits in a pinball setting.

Thanks for the game, your time and sharing this with us!

edit: Ok, I think I figured out what I'm feeling with the flippers. It seems that when the force field is active on the flippers it creates a kind of drag/magnetic effect? So if you trigger a flipper when the field is on and the other flipper is returning the field restrains the first flipper a bit. So using them together when the field is active is a bit tricky. This is a neat mechanic if I have this right and I approve with great gusto.

Played the Android client and it looks pretty nice, (belated) congratulations on your game release.

You seem to have gotten a pretty healthy number of installs for your mobile version for an independent developer, do you have any tips for marketing your product? Was there anything you did to draw in your audience, or do they just trickle in over time after discovering you naturally?
