like questioning your sexuality because you don't find them attractive
Which is something that can be easily shrugged off if you are a confident about yourself. The key difference is that you are not being screamed at and physically threatened. While I've been in the situation you describe above a few times, the other party was drunk as hell (not an excuse, but context), and some girl asking if I'm gay does not even remotely compare to the situations described by the women in the two articles posted.
As far as the "men get it too", (again, in my anecdotal experience) gay dudes don't usually go off the rail on you if you tell them they are barking up the wrong tree, as the dynamic is very different than in the situations in those blog posts.
There's also a big key element in that most women don't really have the means to beat a man up in a fair fight, and they know that.
As a guy at 6'11" who weighs over 300 lbs, I find it very rare that someone can physically intimidate me.
Few guys, and very few women, could reasonably find a position to make me nervous or afraid of them on a physical level.
If someone got into my face in the way described in those blog posts, I could resort to standing up and acting imposing and telling the offending person to fuck off. Women very rarely have that privilege.

I keep telling them they need to juice up and get all swole but they don't listen
Men who treat women the way that guy in the story did baffle me. It's like, what if someone did that to your sister or mother? Would you be okay with that? It's like they can't step outside themselves, and realize that everyone is somebody, and that everyone is someone else's somebody.
at first i was thinking "man it's kind of silly to think that just because you're holding a book no one should ever attempt to strike up a conversation with you in a public place"
but then I kept reading and
yeah fuck that dude and anyone who sympathizes with him
Yeah, when I took the bus I would usually ask that stuff to anyone I saw with a book, just out of curiosity. But that was usually the extent of my conversation with them.

Like, love thy neighbour, and treat your fellow human beings decently. However, people have very diverse definitions of "neighbour" and "fellow human beings".
Do you guys think that the D&D guys are too harsh on people? They are really stuck up and act like they're all elitist. But anyway before we talk about them allow myself to introduce... myself
ABOUT ME
My name is theSAVED and y'all best remember it!
I am a christian and PROUD OF IT
my fav. book is Terry Goodkind and I am the best Halo player ever
My fav comics are Penny Arcade (duh), PVP, megatokyo and CAD.
I am very political and I always vote republican
I am going to be 17 in may!!!
I own two rifles (ebony and ivory lol) and my uncle is getting me a Volkswagon Passat
So anyway in D&D I made a thread and it got locked http://www.penny-arcade.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1073844389 and it's honestly since they're a bunch of pricks. I politely asked them to stop making fun of me and instead they just keep on talking about me and my posts and they even locked the thread that I made.
However everything that I said in that thread is 100% true and honestly I just don't think they can handle it.
Do you notice that everyone in D&D is pretty much an atheist an emo or a gay? They're all afraid of anything christian and they got no right to tell honest people what to do.
i for one am pretty tired of the way that people of faith get persecuted and the way the people at D&D act is just shameful
anyway I just made this thread to say "hi" and get to know the people on this board! you guys seem a little nicer and more normal than the stuck up fags in D&D
look you fucking fags you'd better sotp this shit RIGHT NOW
you do NOT want to make an EMEMY out of theSAVED
my bro works at MIT and if you keep this bullshit up I will get him to HACK your pcs
look I am a reasonable guy but you fuckers are pushing my patience
if you keep this up you will find that your internet doesn't work, your bank accounts are gone, your drivers license won't work and your precious penny arcade website will be melted down
SO DON'T FUCK WITH ME OKAY? It's not in your best interest

Oh man, there was some idiotic but entertaining, unfinished parody series about 1337 h@x0rz and it's killing me trying to remember what it was called. I know it involved hacking a purse (and other random, non-electronic objects), some secret agent lady that hired the hackers then tried to kill them (but was blown up, then came back as a cyborg), and leetspeek subtitles. I stumbled across it because one of the characters was some minor celebrity whom I liked, and wanted to see more of. If anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about, please let me know.

He's a creepy asshole who sexually assaulted her but it's not like he murdered some children in broad daylight or anything.
Dude needs to be arrested and perhaps get some therapy though, that's a pretty fucked up thing to do.
What if this is Prince Harry's fault?

Dehumanizing others is unfortunately a very common human quality.
i was going to make a biting comment

Learn something new about Gyllenhaal in every movie. First I didn't know he was Persian and now this...
I'm kind of disappointed that no one pointed out that the mic stand is all wrong for moustache-era Freddie.
getting kinda racist in here...
I was clearing out my bookmarks when I came across this.
