What are you in the mood for?
I can't think of anything that's quite like Pan's Labyrinth. It's a dark period piece fairy tale for adults. Kind of hard to find a substitute for that movie.

Oh, of COURSE my River Jump triumph wound up on the last page.
Having never played the game it's difficult for me to see how jumping over one river could be that difficult, but judging from the other forumer reactions you deserve a :^: of some sort.
Mirrormask is a lot like Pan's Labyrinth, only less period, more fantasy, not quite as dark, and not quite as masterful. Still good, though.
I would totally rent it, but it's checked out.
For reference, my favorite movies ported directly off facebook:
Lost in Translation, Mean Creek, Willow, The Lion in Winter, Go, Children of Men, Brokeback Mountain, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro
I really want to say it's my favorite movie, as it's the one that pops up first whenever I think of like, my top five list, or what I think the best movies are.
I love that movie so much.

Man people are being stupid today. Pitt bulls, plotlines, and porn problems.
Mister: I recommend an animated movie about a fantasy world where gay Japanese dwarves battle gay British dwarves in a near future-fascist wasteland. And everyone talks witty. And there's a creek. With a lion.

And the Mayan thing.
The name of the new [chat] threw me the fuck off.
I already got some infraction points today [granted, I was using pretty inappropriate debating tactics] and I fear if that che guy in the book thread keeps it up, I might not have the emotional maturity to not get into mudslinging.

He's now bitching about D&D in SE++.
I am a scared little boy who does not do well with horror.
Oh shits I have to see this.
edit: resisting temptation to follow him to his treehouse.
the "no true scotch man" fallacy.
Checked out =(
Horror is a pointless genre to watch unless there are both people who need someone to hold on to and people there to hold and provide comfort.
Aww, he learned he can't play with the grownups. My heart absolutely bleeds for him.

It also doesn't help that these days, all "horror" seems to be about is, in the words of a movie critic, "exsanguinating attractive young people".
Pass.
Please do not snub my suggestion
it would kill me
I did not like mirrormask, and I love Gaiman.
It makes me nervous for stardust.
Another kill for you, Cat.
Pretty though.
I mean. They're like a depressing, extended fart joke.

Again, it's all about getting the blood out of the cute co-ed.
I just took it as a children's movie.
Valentine rocks.

Angel: So, basically, its from the same motive as frat gang rapes?

Podly: Look, just be glad they're SEPARATE issues.
Pretty much, except the frat is headed by the Marquis de Sade.
You missed this morning's festivities. Though Will took our punching bag away.

That one is also way up there for me.

Just kidding. That won't happen.
BOO GET OFF THE STAGE
Not seeing it should be considered a warning sign for sadosis in the DSM-IV.

Mr.^2: You should get that checked, you may have suckosis.
I don't have an Xbox, but you should totally play Settlers of Catan, as it's way the hell better.
You do know that "ege" and "good suggestion" are mutually incompatible?
I did not buy that yet
