Someone has to rescue the president from the prison formerly known as ascalon, since destroyed by gang warfare between charr and hoomans. Watch out for the duke, fat rytlock... Fytlock
The sweeping vistas and landmarks are amazing and talking to the NPCs and learning the story behind them is simply magical. The reason why Lion's Arch looks like the pirate city of Pirates o/t Caribbean, the lighthouse in the harbour... nice to read about. What's more amazing are the mysteries like the moss-covered Great Wall of the Tengu and the town protected by Isgarren. It'll be nifty to be able to learn the story behind all that in the next few content patches and expansions.
I mean, just look at the crazy architecture and the paintings coming to life:
But then there's the nooks and crannies; the places off the beaten path. Sometimes with hidden achievements tied to them (aka: the ones you actually get hints for) and sometimes just because they were busy making a maze and forgot that you can actually get lost down there or something.
Oh, I also pimped my avatar 8)

And the reason why I went for the hooded cap and 2H staff:
The t3 head is pretty great yeah, that's the t2 set though and the head is a weird little spikey bud which I am not keen on. Doesn't match the rest of the set too well, I love the rest of the set though.
1.) Make a new Engineer with goggles.
2.) Have another character buy a cheap mask. NOTE This mask needs to be white or blue name (This is important)
3.) Put said mask in bank.
4.) Log onto the new Engineer with goggles.
5.) Now you can transmute the mask into goggles.
6.) Put the new transmuted goggles into bank
7.) Go into your current character and then take out the transmuted goggles.
8.) Now you can transmute the goggles with any mask.
Just remember the goggles are medium armor, and you can't transmute across armor classes.
Just replace"goggles" and "engineer" with whatever the hell you want. Provided you can use that armor class you can literally mix and match any of the classes' starting gear. Necro Skull Masks on Mesmers! Mesmer Jester Mask on Necros! Thief Hoods on Rangers! Pure anarchy!
Axen on
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.

You know, even though GW2 is more fun to play (combat and quest wise) and has some of the better player character models, I still think Secret World has a more engaging story in the sense that it's grey, it's mature, it's full of mystery and horror and common themes explored in unique ways; and it's more in line with SW:TOR's cinematic presentation. It hasn't got personally chosen dialogue, your kind of just there for the ride, which hurts player agency, but it's a great ride to be on nonetheless.
Now if only it didn't have a sub fee plus the micro-transactions on top of the box price in a field full of F2P games of all kinds; I'd probably be playing it as readily as GW2. My hat is off to Weaver for not giving up on the game and for showcasing it's better aspects amidst the barrage of GW2 pics.

If that's t3 heavy how could you not have the head! It's the best part. In fact it's just a cooler version of your hairstyle

That is exactly where I got it from! Just follow these steps originally posted by Beltaine in the GW2 thread.
