I kept seeing Homeland commercials before it premiered while watching movies on Showtime and thinking it was a nice premise, but that Claire Danes was totally over the top with her "I'm just looking out for national security" near-crying delivery. Paraphrasing a bit. That turned me off. I might have to give it another look. However, I do believe we can all agree one one thing tonight
Still need to catch up on like a million other shows though
I am willing to bet a large number of them are not as good!

Season two of The Walking Dead (yes, I know you hate this, don't need to point it out)
Also I have Game of Thrones and Justified season one both sitting here waiting for me to watch them
The fact that I need to pay money for Homeland is what's turning me off the most at the moment because it does sound intriguing as hell and I do love Claire Danes

I need to just watch all of Mad Men and Breaking Bad, buuuuut the issue I have with shows like that is that I end to put on a show and do something else while it's on, and both of those shows seem to need your full attention. I mean, if I was trying to jump in after season one, it'd be one thing, but instead I was a dummy and waited. Not the show's fault, but bleh.
There's really no reason to get butthurt that a great show and some great actors didn't win some awards. How do you think the cast of Mad Men feels?

I'm saying that Cranston has won 3, Paul has won 2, and the show is fairly close to being a shoe-in for best drama next year when it'll have wrapped up.

well, breaking bad's never won best series (it's always lost to Mad Men in that category)
I'd be a little surprised if Homeland repeated, mostly because showtime series have a pretty terrible record at maintaining their momentum after one season
