I don't even want to begin telling you how stupid that is to say with regards to a comic writer.
Actually with Ellis the accusation has some merit, as a few years ago he made a big deal about being done with the big two and focusing on his own creator-owned properties. And for a while he held true to his word, launching stuff like Fell, Blackgas, Wolfskin, Desolation Jones, Jack Cross, the Apparat books, and so on. Later he announced he'd begin his "year of whoredom" (or something similar to that) where he'd do a bunch of stuff for Marvel or DC. That year has now stretched out for another two or three, and most of his creator-owned stuff has become stalled, ended, or had lukewarm receptions. It's still kind of dumb to call him a sellout, but he did bring it on himself at least in part.
All I know is that Ellis has a shitload of books coming out over the next year. Didn't three just drop on Wednesday? When the hell does this dude eat and sleep?
God damn it Keith, am I gonna have to get out my whuppin' stick?
Also, it's sweet because I like Guggenheim and because I read Marvel almost exclusively. This is why I was upset when Palmiotti and Grey went DC exclusive.
Man, I like Ellis, plus X-23 is in Astonishing. Fuck, I might have to start reading that book. I wonder if X-23 will try to be like Wolverine and stay on with the New X-Men, though.
Well, X-23 was rumoured to have a big part in Messiah Complex and the interview said it picks up after the events of that event, so its plausible that she will be a bigger player then. Also, Beast has a very....large..um...bulge.
Read the interview on Newsarama for the batshit crazy Ellis. He talks about raping childhoods, selling out cuz hes washed up at 40 and so on. Pretty much everything people are bitching about. Its pretty funny interview to be honest.
Yeah, probably, but I was off the core X-books until Endangered Species started. I might check out the trades, assuming I ever have any extra moneys after paying for all my singles every month.

Well, Chris, I'm closing in on 40 now, so I'm pretty much washed up and preparing for the time where I'll have to sell what operating internal organs I have left for bill money
Oh, ha ha ha ha ha. What a genius.
Oh, well. He can't rape my childhood reared on Claremont, so it's not Earth-shattering to me. I just don't like him. Plus, shit like this makes my eyes bleed:
he's significantly moved on several characters -- but it was very much small stories, chamber music as opposed to, say, the nun-eating rock monster of Morrison's New X-Men run. (Although...was it a rock monster? Hmmm... 2000, 2001, around that time? Probably the tree-shagging, mind-fucking electronica skinnyboi, then, Radiohead, Bjork, Amon Tobin... you could've maybe turned around the entire last half of the run by making him listen to Godspeed! You Black Emperor...)
I actually kind of like Ultimates 3 Hawkeye, but what the hell is that on his forehead? It always made sense for, at least for me, for an accuracy expert to use guns as well as the more archaic stuff.

I got pissed until I read that he'll still be writing for DC, or whoever else.

You should be reading Astonishing already.

You'll read Astonishing because X-23 is in it?
I don't think so. I thought it was pretty good.

Yes, because I'm rather fond of her, having read both of her miniseries and the issues of New X-Men with her.
