I would LOVE to spring out of bed at 7 or so and have a leisurely breakfast
but noooo my brain is all '9.30? fuck you, you only went to sleep at 4, you're not going anywhere'

I seem to always wake up an hour early when I set my alarm.
I seem to have developed the ability to wake up just a few minutes before my alarm goes off. This would be less impressive if my alarm went off at the same time each day, but it doesn't. It varies by up to two hours depending on whether I have morning meetings or not (and whether I can be arsed going to them). It's spooky.
well it certainly helps if you go to sleep before midnight
yeah but if you get up at 11 it's really hard to be tired before midnight. You see the dilemma.
Yeah, I know its much harder pushing a sleep schedule back then it is forward and I do slip into staying up later if school or work doesn't require me to be up in the morning. Its just too easy to keep staying up later even though I dislike it.

as a result most of my waking day is completely miserable
I need between 8-10 hours of solid sleep to feel right when I wake

I think it's for the best that we leave the squirrel be. For all we know, it could've been integral to the process. An umpire, of sorts.
