Speaking of tequila, I was at a bar the other night and they served the most amazing Bloody Marys. Like, crazy good.
I mean okay, I haven't had one since I was 15 and trying to put one together from the recipe book, and I kept overjudgining some ingredients or another and making a mess of thing, but this one was divine.
Oh, a friend of mine bought some good Russian vodka, and it is night and day from the stuff we drink here. Smooth, nice taste, goes down a treat. It's crazy. If the the label hadn't said "vodka" I would never have believed it.

what are some good things to do with gin beyond gin and tonic? Cause I've really turned on to gin and tonics recently, but have not had that much luck poking randomly through gin cocktail recipes.
only other thing I really liked was Gin + rosemary-infused simple syrup+ orange Pellegrino, which was amazing, but super sweet and not something I want to have very often

an incredibly simple but incredibly delicious cocktail is a Fitzgerald.
it's the good kind of simple that I love using to introduce friends to gin and cocktails. The kind of simple where the booze comes across wonderfully but won't overpower someone new to gin. where when you focus, you can taste the balance and layers of what makes this kind of cocktail great (it's a variation of the basic Sour formula)
2 ounce gin (Beefeater is your gold standard for making gin cocktails.)
1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon
3/4 Simple
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters (when you dash with your bottle of bitters, you turn that thing upside down and really do a hard dash. the nozzle/pourer cap is made to dash a standardish amount when you use proper force.)
shake hard and well with plenty of ice. strain it and serve it into a rocks glass over ice. lemon wedge for garnish
Tonight I got the hell beaten out of me and I liked it.
A friend tried to set me up with a sub, but she's hella more experienced than me and frankly it's kind of intimidating. Like, I've never gone past some light torture and she's into full on beatings. He's told me of some of her escapades and they sound hot as hell but woah, I have no idea how I'd maintain a dom role with her.
Playing with an experienced bottom can be intimidating, but just remember that you can hit just as hard as anyone else from her past. and even if you're a master at any given tool you'll still need some work with this girl in order to know what she likes.
As part of your aftercare with someone, ask for a detailed description of the scene as well as a critique of the good and bad points. Tell her not to spare your feelings and to especially point out the things that need improving. Then discuss it with her later.
Thanks, that's really good advice. Can I ask, what do you mean about a detailed description of the scene? Basically, get her to retrace the events from her point of view so I can see what she responded to, didn't respond to, etc? I've done that in the past, but mainly just a general talk about what she liked, didn't like, etc, not a detailed description. Sounds like I can step things up there.
Exactly. And just remember that if there's a spot she doesn't remember, it may not be a bad thing.
Also, getting a description of the scene gives you a frame of reference from her point of view, so where you might have gotten into a groove while flogging her, she might have been bored and just waiting for you to get to something interesting.

I'm definitely a coctails kind of guy.
they could be in Bloody Marias. but even better than that is having a well made sangrita and shooting tequila alongside it
Good job.
Chose your own adventure post!
A) Oh yeah, I should have said "speaking of imbibing alcohol" instead.
That would explain why my attempt sucked!
C) Dicks dicks dicks dicks.
