I thought she was pretty funny but I can also tell right away that most of her lines are the same schtick over and over and I assume she's going to get old REALLY fast.

thats kinda bullshit as it doesn't say in any of the descriptions you need to buy things again.

wait just read the tweet. unless he posted something else, he is saying buying the season pass gets you all the campaing DLC for a discounted price, which is true, not that you stil lneed to buy them again

Okay, dumb question, how the hell do I buy the Mechromancer DLC for STEAM? I do not see it listed anywhere and from the game menu all it lists is the Season Pass.

edit- Nevermind I am an idiot. It was tucked away on the steam page for BL2. Not sure why it wouldn't be listed in the ingame DLC menu, but whatevs.

I'm pretty sure you get the four DLC just at a reduced price. You basically get 4 for the price of 3. He's just saying it a weird way.

He also might be referring to the 360 version where the Season Pass just gives you enough points to buy the DLC.

Can you explain this? Because I need to do that.

With the quest that has you escorting Fleshstick back to Tina's place, have the high level player stand at his spawn and kill him while the other repeatedly picks up the quest. It's like 1800 exp a second in TVHM, up to level 34 or so?

Wait wait wait, are you saying that I paid $30 to still have to pay for the 4 campaign DLCs? Because that's some bullshit if that's what you're saying.

Huh? That doesn't work, we just did that quest and I accidentally killed Fleshstick and we had to get the quest again. We didn't get any XP for it. What am I missing?

Say you're level 1, but your buddy is high enough level to access TVHM. He creates a game, and you join. Your job is to stand at Tiny Tina and activate the Fleshstick escort quest. His job is to stand in front of Fleshstick's spawn, and kill him as soon as he appears. As soon as he kills him, the quest will fail, but you will gain like 1800 XP for killing a high level enemy. At level 1, that's a lot of XP. You immediately talk to Tina again to restart the quest, Fleshstick will spawn and die again, and you just repeat the process until you're in your thirties.

Evidently, you can level up like this really quickly.

These class mods that say "+20% Shock Damage" and what not- does that ADD that damage to a weapon? Or does it INCREASE the elemental damage the weapon already has so you wouldn't use them unless you have a weapon of the same element?

More damage of that element. Does not add it if you don't already deal it.

why in gods name would you ever use them

It's multiplicative with your +% damage skills when using a weapon of that element, or at least I think it is. So if you have a shock gun doing 100 damage, a skill with +50% damage boosts it to 150, and a +50% shock damage mod boosts it again to 225. The more +damage% you have, the more valuable it is.

This is why I expect a LBT/Anarchy/Discord build wih a shock class mod to be the standard for framing once the bee is nerfed. Build up +700% damage. Fire shock Tediore SMG once, reload. Repeat, if necessary (which it probably won't be very often).

We should probably mention this at the beginning of the next thread, but the reset bug I mentioned in the last one is still floating around, and more people seem to have been hit by it, but Gearbox says it's still isolated and not connected to the Mechromancer DLC. . . I'm not sure if I personally want to try my luck since I haven't had that problem since my brother's Siren got it, so I'll probably wait a bit until confirmation that the situation's become more stable.

Heh, just realized that the "optic surgery is best left to professionals" line is kind of insulting if directed at Gaige.

Hey guys, can someone drop some knowledge on me? What's the fastest way to level up a character while playing solo? I know that if you've got another player, you can do the Tiny Tina / Fleshstick thing, and that's cool, but I don't really have anybody to partner up with for that stuff. I actually just want those achievements for using Deception and Gunzerking continuously for a certain period of time. My issue is that I really just don't like Zer0 or Salvador. If their achievements were like Maya and Axton (the two characters I really like playing), where you just have to use the skill a certain number of times, or score a certain number of kills, that would be great. Instead, they basically force me to level up those characters to level 30 or so, just to have enough skill points make it all happen.

I don't particularly want to play these characters any longer than I have to. Which brings me back around to my original question: what's the fastest way for me to level up while playing solo?

I take it you're on PC, otherwise you could just split-screen with a high level character and use the Fleshstick method. Also, Sal needs to be level 25 or so for enough points to be able to gunzerk for 90 seconds, Zer0 needs to be level 31 or so to stay in stealth mode for 10 seconds. Unless someone knows a better way I'd guess just picking quests that give good exp rewards and doing those as quickly as you can and respawn any bosses that give a good amount too for wherever you are in the game. Alternatively, find a higher level player's game and hope they don't mind carrying you while you level :)

It works on playthrough one as well, you just get less overall exp. Still enough to hit early 20s though, I did it myself with Zer0 in split-screen.

So Gaige experience i'd like to stare. Got to level 10 with her last night. Started down the ordered chaos path. Got my stacks up to 150...then picked up an anarchist class mod (+16% gun dmg -16% acc) I was still sniping really well up to the point i picked up the class mod. And before that a sniper crit would take out anything. I killed flint with 2 bullets. 2 bullets. One before he even got off the top shelf area. My point is, holy cow if i can find a way to negate some of the negitive acc a sniper gaige is gonna be a blast! What weapons are some of you others guys using with ordered chaos....

Which brings me back around to my original question: what's the fastest way for me to level up while playing solo?

first off, how can you not LOVE gunzerking? :P

second, to answer your question, in general, farming unique named characters is the way to go. the problem is you outlevel them super damn fast.
