A couple weeks back I used conflating to talk about some metrics we were monitoring. He believed I made the word up.

Whoever at CNN wanted that narrative didn't think things through enough. Ryan was never going to stand a chance at beating Biden in a debate. Anyone competent with knowledge about both candidates would have realized the flaws in that plan & worked on plan B.

More ABM systems would be viewed as an aggressive action by Russia and China, and rightfully so. It'd be nice if we could get back to START II so we could avoid missile defense systems and MIRVs (which own missile defense systems), and use the non-war money instead on something else. If it has to be defense related, make it energy infrastructure or cyberwarfare defense.

But Israel gets a huge amount of aid from the US and then American politicians are still running around saying that Israel should be calling the shots on our foreign policy?

A nation founded on (and far more importantly, attempting to continue) the ideal of a nation for a specific racial or ethnic group is a really shitty idea, especially in the modern age. The harder Israel tries to defend their "fundamental Jewish character" as a governmental and policy position, the worse things will get for everyone.
