Dealing with the prick at my job I realized I still have no effective toolbox to deal with this kind of interaction. I mean, I pretty much ignore it and correct or avoid whatever he's trying to do with a small degree of exasperation that I try not to show.
After I stopped getting beaten up in school, that was my reaction as well to teasing or whatever. I guess it seems like an acceptable thing to do as an adult as well? I dunno. I am unprepared for middle school tactics when I am in my mid-20s.
I got bullied really bad all through elementary school and highschool. (We don't have middleschool where I'm from)
But eventually in Highschool I just decided to accept that I was weird and different and stopped giving a fuck and so I guess that showed? And then my reputation in the school began to change. With like, ZERO effort on my part, I suddenly had the reputation of being a bully and a badass. I think my having very long hair, a trenchcoat and steel toed combat boots and a goth phase probably helped. Anyways, as part of my deciding that fuck this shit I don't care if other people make fun of me anymore I am satisfied with myself as a person, I decided to take other kids under my protection.
So I was the king of the losers. Other kids who were tired of being hassled hung out in my corner of the school and if anyone tried to mess with them I told them to fuck off. We even bought the security guard a b-day cake so he was Bros with us and didn't give us any trouble. I never even had to do more than scowl at someone and they'd walk in the opposite direction and generally anyone who would have previously sneered and made fun of any of us learned to avoid us. Eventually I think I had like, 30 losers/nerds/geeks/shy kids who were essentially part of my Kingdom and who could avoid getting hassled because of me. When I walked through the halls it was like the parting of the red sea with people moving out of my way.
I learned after HS that there were amazing legends of me like, lifting kids up and slamming them into metal pipes and breaking their legs and shit. I've never even punched anyone. And I can't even lift my friend who is like four foot ten. It was just word of mouth and other people spreading rumours.
Anyways yeah so that's my bullying history. Bullied turned bully except I wasn't actually a bully.

I had a myspace for like 2 weeks and I could not figure out how to use it so I deleted it, and never bothered to get a facebook until senior year of high school and would forget that I had one for weeks at a time. How do you ebully the person that can't figure out where the messages are stored?
For reals it is hard to think of bullying happening in high school because mine was so chill, it was one of the few points of pride for the administration. We didn't really have much in the way of cliques (unless you counted the greasers or furries but they were all really nice) or popularity, though I do remember one of the more 'popular' girls being wheel-chair bound. I remember one girl not liking me but I was so confused by it and continued being nice to her and eventually she stopped . . . The school as a whole was very friendly. I see movies/show or read about other high schools and they just sound so foreign and awful.

Nope! I went to a small, underperforming school in a low-income neighborhood.

In kindergarden this one boy who was mean and bullying everyone, but because he was (again) mean and charismatic nobody did anything. He'd never bothered me because being small meant that people automatically tried to protect me, or whatever. Just too kawaii I guess. And at some point he did try to bully on me, and I was obviously all a-shook because I was thin-skinned like a ripe peach and told him, "Nobody likes you because you are a bully no one here is really your friend they just pretend".
And the rest of the class leapt up in agreement, that we were all sick of him pushing us around and making fun of everyone and that yeah, we had all been too afraid to be honest about disliking him so much. I dont remember what happened afterward but he didn't bother anyone anymore after that.
Speaking as a person who almost was driven to suicide because of the actions of others, I can safely say that anybody who would treat others differently than they wish to be treated themselves can go fuck off. Everybody is perfect, and everybody deserves to be treated as such.
"There's nothing wrong with" is a little different than "everybody is perfect".
Nobody is perfect. But how other people aren't perfect isn't really anybody else's business, so mind ya business, right?

i was friends with most everybody in high school so I didn't get bullied much
i did have one bully though, and it was during my really awkward phase when i was 14-15 and didn't really know who or what I was
i was in auto shop with this kid and he smelled blood, he harassed me for a good 4 or 5 months until i literally had to threaten to beat him over the head with a torque wrench to get him to leave me alone
looking back he was a really troubled guy, he came from a broken home and he ended up killing himself about 2 years ago
I was bullied and was a bully. Notging extreme just teasing and being teased. I think it helped me learn wjat was and what wasn't appropriate but I was insane as a child. My bad behavior stopped at the end of elementsry school when I realized "wow, I'm a dick."
I also heard kochi can simultaneously screw a horse and a bear
She's always one-upping everybody.

We had instances of kids throwing rocks at each other in kinder, now that I look back. But we had some ways of keeping ourselves civil. See, the kindergartners ate separate from the rest of the school, so we would come over to our benches and we'd share all the food we had brought with us for lunch. I dont know how it started, but we would pile our food into the middle of the table and people could all take from there. If you brought nothing, you could still take food, but not a lot, and you had to bring something the next time, you couldn't just keep taking. And if you were feeling generous you could bring a lot to share and people would be very grateful. Obviously you did no have to share all your food but it was encouraged to try sharing some of it. In particular we really, really loved chips and hot cheetos. They were the main event. So we would rip the bags open and toss everything onto the bench, make one big pile of chips that we all ate from. If you brought a big bag of hot cheetos you were the coolest.
It meant that if you'd slighted someone you could get forgiveness from the group by sharing a bag of chips.
If you weren't doing well socially you could at least share and you couldn't be bothered too much because you were being generous.

i was bullied a lot in middle school and junior high
now i pretend to be a dick to keep people away so they don't hurt me
I think my lowest moment was when I was being teased for being friends with a kid and right in front of his face I was like "We're not friends." To his credit he was disgusted and mad at me and was like "Well fuck you then". I never did apologize for that, although we were cool after the fact, for which I am grateful.

I beat up these two kids in high school because I was tired of them picking on this one chick all the time and that's how I lost my virginity.

Moral of the story is, picking on people cause they're different is wrong.
