Our one gate seems pretty handled, what with two investigators plumbing its depths. Jenny is all healed up so I could go monster bashing; a Mi-go and a Gug(?) are sitting right outside the Asylum anyway. Dunno what 'ole Pete should get up to. If nothing else he could just keep on keeping on at the Lodge?
Whoops. Went ahead and had an election and forgot to post my turn. It's been so long I've forgotten what environment effects we have in play currently; if something interferes with what I post I'll revise.
(Final result: 1 san damage, 1 clue spent, 1 unique item gained, 1 Gug trophy claimed, 1 street cleared of monsters)
I forgot how to structure my rolls so it didn't keep rolling after a 6 and couldn't figure out how to get it to double count 6's with the shotgun, but each die's roll is listed individually so I just counted by hand when needed.
(For my own reference purposes, because I keep forgetting what I have ...)

Oh shit! A giant magical glowy sword is sticking out of this weird bug monster! Let me just see if I can pull it out here ...
I'm not aware of any reason I'd want to keep ahold of both the lamp and the sword, so if someone wants one or the other come stop on by and I'll hook you up.

Mandy did not see a chance to run from the flying monster falling from the sky on her, so she prepared to fight.
She cast the spell she just learnt.
The monster's wings became weak and it hit the ground and smashed into pieces.
So, does kate have enough clues to seal this gate?
If so I'll move off it, if not I will stay and wait for her to get back to Arkham.
It would be kind of rude to seal her inside R'lyeh.
I do not cast voice of Ra, move back to The Unnameable.
Attempt to seal the gate with fight, auto fail.

Great, I'll stay here for now and we can both check once you get back.
Closing this gate is no joke.

Ok, so obviously I'll still be cursed and will just sit around in the Science Building to get un-cursed. Wtf? I seriously lose my curse? What am I supposed to do now? Well, I'd like to go fight those big nasties in Easttown, but I'm afraid I might go insane, so I should probably prepare myself for the fight.

ARKHAM ENCOUNTERS:
Bob Jenkins in the Science Building:
A professor of the occult asks you to hold a hideous statue that he believes to have strange powers while he reads a scroll. Energy shoots through your body. Make a Luck (-1) check. If you pass, your spirit rises from your body and you feel that you have the power to switch bodies with another investigator. You may choose another investigator from the pile of unused investigators and bring it into play as a new character, discarding your current investigator (along with all of his items, skills, trophies, etc.). If you fail, nothing happens. @blahmcblah is offered another oppurtunity to switch bodies!
Gloria Goldberg at the Unnamable:
Waiting for Kate!
"Ashcan" Pete at the Silver Twilight Lodge:
Carl Sanford draws you into the study to talk and you feel the cold creep of dread listening to him. Make a Lore (-1) check. If you pass, your willpower stands up to the test of the ancient wizard and you even learn something of value. Gain 3 Clue tokens. If you fail, his hypnotic tones lull you into a trance. The conversation seems short, but when you leave the study, much time has passed and your thoughts are confused. Lose all of your Clue tokens and move to the street.
Any investigator may roll for his terrible encounter!

OW ENCOUNTERS:
Kate Winthrop at R'lyeh Area 2:
The unending blackness terrifies you. Pass a Will (-1) check or lose 1 Sanity and 1 Stamina from fear and exhaustion. @Cerberus to resist the evil!
Fail - Though since it doesn't kill me it makes me stronger right? That or I just don't care as I realise that I could have just taken a torch. Also I can't sleep with the light on so that is a plus... Looks like I am going a little insane, the card is correct...
Looking at Pete's sheet from back on page 6, it looks like his Lore was set to 1 and never changed. So with a -1 check we'll have to start burning clues; since he loses all clues on a fail, this seems a no brainer.
Clue 1, 2, 3 (losing clues no matter what now!), 4, 5, 6 (this is just getting silly!), 7, 8. And with that Pete runs out of clues and is unceremoniously dumped to the street for being unable to roll a single success on 8 dice!

Even if we use the reroll on him he still burned all his clues; we could get 3 back and keep him from being put on the street is all. Better than not using the reroll at all but keeping 3 clues for Pete probably isn't vitally important at this point. I know Jenny still has an Elder Sign for one thing, so sealing gates shouldn't be an issue.

Fuck it, I'm still not changing bodies even if I succeed on the roll. I forgot that you reshuffle the encounters each time and thought I'd get the blessing dude because that card is the only one yet to be drawn from there.

You know what guys? I'm really really sorry but I think I'm going to have to call this game an investigator victory. Not only is my life hectic at the moment, the game is going to be terribly anticlimatic with 5 gates bumping on Elder Signs. Literally nothing is going to happen for several turns!
I'll be sure to host another game when I have less resposibilities to deal with, but I think this game is over. I hope you all understand and thank you for playing! A good victory, I have never seen an AO been utterly steamrolled like that
No problem mi-go! I totally understand (trust me, when it comes to life being insane, I TOTALLY understand). And yeah, it's a little hard to believe how curb stomped the AO was in this. Talk about a one-sided battle!
The combination of elder signs and quick clue researching with a super soldier businessman holding off the hordes was amazing.
We had no magic for more then half the game and it did not even slow us down.
Thanks for hosting mi-go hunter, we should try a harder AO next time!

I'll post a full turn later.
Wins: NBN; Jenny Barnes; Emperor of Mankind; Werewolf (posthumous), Gregor; Colonel Mustard; USSR
Losses: Silas Marsh Bob Jenkins; Slaanesh, Tzeentch, Nurgle; House Harkonnen; Stark; Beravor; Scientist, Dispatcher; Universities of Jol-Nar, Winnu
Hopefully he'll be able to feed Duke...
Upkeep: +$1, keep sliders.
Move from Asylum out to the streets. Jenny ain't afraid of no Mi-Gos, anymore. Mi-Go are (barely!) afraid of her! (receive Unique item instead of trophy)
Switching to the shotgun, Jenny calmly turned to the Gug. That was some damn good hypnotherapy! But she can't finish it off, even using some of her accumulated knowledge (spent a clue). A quick Flesh Ward kept her safe though (-1 san). And gives her time to blow the stinking Gug away. Jenny's done running. Time to kick ancient evil ass and chew bubblegum. Too bad she's all out of gum. 8-)
