I captured a worker like 2000 miles from my territory and decided to delete him rather than walking him back. The game decided that it was going to auto select my knight at the start of the turn instead of keeping my current selection so he got deleted instead.

Yeah, Civ 5 has a terrible interface. Half the time it feels like I'm fighting it instead whoever my enemy happens to be at that moment.

It's fine most the time in singleplayer when you're not trying to fight the clock and online lag wonkieness

And the AI is frequently ridiculously stupid. Not even pathfinding, which can be tricky with limited CPU, but just in general.
And a number of other obnoxious things most places wouldn't ship a game with.
Despite that, the game is still incredibly fun.
Which lends it a lot of kudos, I must say.

This totally activates on Steam for Windows, by the way. The negative reviews on Amazon are people trying to activate the Mac App Store version of Civ 5.
Losing in Civ II was awesome. If you died early enough you got this cinematic with archeologists finding a pot or something that says "<YourName> will return!"

Welp, lessons learned:
- Mac version has issues. :-( Run in windows in boot camp I guess?
- People DCing / reconnecting causes lots of problems
- Random placement can be bullshit; next time I'm going to turn on abundant resources.
Maybe sometime Thurs - Sun we can try again if people want.

Yeah, I didn't think it was going to be -that- big.
(That's what he said)
I didn't even encounter @Skeith at all the entire game hahah.
And I was at war with China twice and never even saw where her cities were.
Oh well. I was still awesome.

I am going to found the Cult of Ursinality.
Wait, you can rename your cities? Since when and how?
3DS FC: 4699-5714-8940 Playing Pokemon, add me! Ho, SATAN!
YUCK!!
Always?
Click a city. Then at the top of the city management screen, under your city's name will be a tiny word "Edit"
Click it and rename.
It's limited to maybe 12-14 characters, which is dumb, but still.
