Another product of rumaging through my hard drive today, taken in January at an abandoned jail that a friend's production company had total access to. I know it's horribly askew, but it still strikes my fancy for some reason.
whats with all these sunrise sunset photos... WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, SHERI?!
[spoiler:770571e7c1]just kidding olol. very nice though, theres some noise but I dont know if there was anyway you could avoid it so yeah...[/spoiler:770571e7c1]
t shake: I really like the one with the man on the balcony over looking the city, I think I may like it better as a wider view. Like cutting aaway most of the trees at the bottom and some of the sky.
Well, in terms of artistic merit and quality my photos are a lot worse than everyone else's...I just wanted to point out that Marin county (where I'm living now) sure is pretty.
I agree with Sheri. The bottom and lowermost sides of the pot seem to be in focus, but the rim of the pot isn't. However, it's harder for me to focus on the bottom of the pot, so the picture is a little difficult for me. I naturally want to focus on the rim but the picture is focussed elsewhere and this creates a little stress for me. I am not sure if this is the intended effect or not. Personally, I am a simple man and prefer to have the focus where my eye would naturally focus even if there's less artistic vision or statement in a picture like that.
I am a sucker for flowers, and I have to say I like these. I prefer the less saturated ones (first and fourth), personally. I think the first one is the absolute strongest, but the second could be if the colors were less saturated. That softer pink (first photo) is kind of old fashioned and thematically supports the overall composition.
That said, what the hell do I know? I haven't studied ever and am quite the amateur, so take my ideas with more than a grain of salt.

the first one is actually my fav...its a different color pink then the others and i did notice that the 2nd and 3rd ones are a bit too bright... ^_^

I might be "hired" to do a wedding. I also might chicken out. Thanks for reminding me, Phone.

Those are all really excellent. First, third, and fifth are my favourites. Best photography in here in a while.

This dude flew over us as the ren faire ended. Opportunities like that prove I really need to invest in a zoom lense.
I want to go someday but we don't have one here I don't think.
I'm pretty sure it's in focus, it's just an optical illusion caused by the ridges and angle of. . . whatever it is.
