This actually looks really cool! As many have said, I also sense a "Phoenix Wright" vibe, with it's own little quirk! Downloading the demo now and consider me impressed and sold for full release.
It's been a while, but just wanted to give a few quick updates:
Version 5 is mostly finished. We are just getting in the last few script changes and doing another art pass on the battle system. We want to make sure to get these changes right, so that's really what's taking so long. We're hoping within another month or so we can FINALLY show all the progress we've been making over the last year. In the meanwhile, enjoy some concept art of a couple of the new suits that will be in the next version
We've got all of the features and content in. Now we are just doing a pass on the game to integrate them properly. After that we just have bug fixing, tuning, and playtesting before release

Version 5.0 comes out next month. The full game is scheduled for release Summer 2013.
