Wasn't there something else with a character named "Sexica"? What am I thinking of?
Well, Graham's used these characters before. They previously appeared in a one-shot from Oni Press, the Escalator anthology that was put out by a now-defunct small-press publisher, and a porn comic published by NBM.
edit: Huh, that's funny. Sam and Fuzzy's one of those webcomics I've always been aware of, but never actually read.
between prophet and king city brandon graham has shot straight into my top tier of writers/ artists. king city you don't so much read it as drink it in with the eyes.
i'm holding out on multiple warheads in the vain hope the pre-image issues will be collected in the first trade.
I hate when people get as far as realizing that Batman has a wealthy backer in Gotham and THEN hit a roadblock. Maybe it's the guy whose parents were killed by a mugger, disappeared during his formative years, and then returned with the build of a olympic athlete...
Or, I don't know, maybe it's Paris Hilton.
Also, there's the whole Batman Inc. thing where Bruce Wayne publicly announced that he was Batman's financier.
It seems like the argument here isn't that Morrison screwed up, but rather that people don't acknowledge things Morrison does in sometimes embarrassing ways (See: Wingman reveal)

i feel like there's problems with morrison's stuff meshing with the greater DC universe between morrison failing to share what he's doing at DC and DC failing to sync up with what he's doing when they are aware.

Yeah its definitely a problem at both ends.
THough I admit I'm mostly always willing to forgive GM's part in all that since he's at least writing an entertaining Superman book.
I mean the writers of Superman and Lee can blame Morrison all they want for how the character doesn't really sync up from book to book but that doesn't explain how broken and wrong the Lee's and the first few issues of Superman is.
The last arc of Bendis' New Avengers is nowhere near the strongest of his work on the title, but it did give us two pretty damn awesome pages in this final issue.
Dr. Strange triumphant:
Luke and Jessica discuss their post Avengers life
ooh modern defenders look plus giant cape. I'm a fan.
also on that note, I picked up the defenders trade today and it had these "i am a defender" variants made with typography for each character in the back section with all the different covers.
my favorite personally, but I'm a big iron fist guy.

those were the teasers they ran leading up to the announcement of the book
Was it really necessary for Black Widow to kiss Rogue? They could've just high fived. Oh well. Both stories were good but I liked Shadowcat and Iron Man better.

when i read that, i'll admit it, i squee'ed. i squee'ed hard. never thought that would happen let alone to Doc Strange
Holy shit. Glory v1 just shot way up on my Amazon Wish List.
No, seriously, it's great.
Ross Campbell's art is spectacular, and Owen Gieni's colors really make it sing. For his part, Keatinge is doing some interesting stuff with the characters, subverting certain old tropes, and all the characters have very distinct, if not particularly nuanced, voices.
And the most recent issue had a flashback that saw Glory teaming up with Oscar Hemingway, in order to capture Fantômas. It's that kind of book.
Hold on, none of you goofs read Secret Avengers #34?
That's a damn shame. Damn shame.
Venom and Valkyrie are screwed, as mini Human Torches tear the Lighthouse to shreds in a blaze
Hawkeye and Captain Britain continue their fight against the Avengers of the Undead and the Undead Celestial
Uh oh, what has Deathlok Wasp done to Hank Pym?
The issue has approximately 22 MotW pages

King City is a legitimate treasure.

but, i jest, the preview for that cover was the thing that got me picking up the series. #33 was fucking nutty.
