How did it feel to pay a few extra thousand for that badge on the front, because you didn't get anything else worthwhile over a Civic?

How does it feel not driving a luxury car? I bet it is pretty embarrassing to go to work every day.

On the contrary luxury cars provide a far nicer ride than any non luxury vehicle. I am old enough to drive in fact I'm almost 19.

Go back and read what I've written. Have you ever seen a Rolls-Royce Phantom? Have you ever sat in one? It is like being at the helm of the fucking Titanic. Bentleys, Maybachs and all that shit is no better. They are all huge vehicles and are not fun to drive. Parking gigantic vehicles is a huge pain in the ass.

I have seen a Rolls-Royce Phantom on the mother fucking street. It was huge. It was amazing. The craftsmanship was unbelievable. It was fantastic.

Really I think you just need to read up on luxury vehicles.

You have never driven a large vehicle. You're just talking out of your ass for everyone to see and this makes me happy.

I've driven my grandfather's Phantom when I was in San Diego with him. The seats were nice. Driving it, not so much. I can't even drive my step-dad's Audi station wagon without wishing I was in my $10k sticker-price Volvo V40.

I am a definite fan of the Lexus. I've driven my dad's hatchback Lexus (don't know the actual specifics) a few times, it is an absolute dream.

Honestly, my ideal car is a 5-series BMW, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to drive something that gregariously affluent.

Lexus are the sporty kinda luxury. It's not that, big, clunky luxury that this Treeloot guy likes. But the modern meets comfort kinda luxury.... It's nice.

My buddy just bought a 2007 Hybrid Lexus IS or something like that. It's one nice car.

    Lexus isn't sporty. Acura is.

The only sporty car lexus has is the IS. I don't like it that much.

If it's a hybrid he either got the RX (thats the small SUV) or the big LS.

It's not the kinda luxury that Treeloot is talking about, which is "biggest, gaudiest, most expensive just so that people know I can". It's a stupid mindset that is only around because of a stupid western mindset. Not to be "that guy", just saying. It has no grounding or basis in any sort of logic or convenience.

I actually enjoy driving the Lexus. It handles like a dream, the interior is wonderful, it's spacious, and it's the perfect size. It's not big for the sake of big; hell, it's not big at all.

But that new IS is bigger than the old one. I don't understand why companies must forever increase the size of their cars, just squeezing in new, smaller models to cover up the old ones (nissan veras, that new toyota piece of shit). The IS was a great size, just bigger than a civic with a nice engine and four doors.

are you thinking of the ES, maybe? Cause the new IS is very short and thus has a useless backseat. Like, it's literally useless. Not "ah, you'll cramp up there but it's okay", but most people with legs will NOT fit in there.
