One Christmas movie that it seems like nobody I know has ever seen is Trapped in Paradise.

It stars Nicolas Cage, Jon Lovitz, and Dana Carvey as three brothers who get involved in an impromptu bank robbery in a small town, and who then get stuck there as the townsfolk try to find out who's responsible. I can't remember if it's actually "good" but it was one of those movies on Comedy Central where they showed it like a million times over a couple weeks, and I have fond memories of it. It's one of Nicolas Cage's less crazy roles, so don't get your hopes up on that end.

I fuckin love that movie, but when I had cable it it played waaaaaaay too much.

It's a brilliant film, though, and I do love it dearly.

    You should fix that.

I cant imagine it would be that difficult a task.

It really is a great movie, Christmas or otherwise

I have this notion that Brazil takes place in a world where every single day is Christmas day, but I'm not a hundred percent sure that is accurate. I will have to watch it again.

It's on TV all the time nowadays, it wasn't when I was growing up.

I mean, I haven't seen the stop-animation Rudolph since I was a kid, or Frosty, or basically any kids Christmas classic.

Kinda surprised that they stopped showing the Rudolph stop-animation one, to be honest.

Part of why I haven't seen it as an adult is because there is no way it lives up to the hype and, being an adult, it probably won't have nearly the same impact as it would on a kid version of me.

My boss got me a dumb Sonic Christmas movie as a joke gift last year but I misplaced it, now that I've found it again I think I've found my Christmas viewing.

I might watch the season 2 Community Christmas episode again, I love that episode. The cave of memories gets real.

That reminds me, I did ask for Homeland for Christmas, so that sounds like a good way to kick off the festivities.

They showed Rudolph on CBS like a week ago.

And actually my favorite parts of Christmas Story are the parts about the grownups, because I feel like they're more true than the kid parts if that makes sense.

Like the stories involving the kids are funny enough, but as an adult, I've run into a lot more skeevy tree salesmen than I ever got bunny costumes as a kid.

That Sonic DVD was indeed dumb. Santa told Sonic that he needed to perform the ancient challenges of climbing a mountain and snowboarding in order to unlock the power of his ring that would grant Sonic Ultra Velocity, allowing him to return all of the gifts to the world in time.

    Sounds about right.
