    The demographics of MMO players are getting older without as many new ones taking up genre. Real life factors such as getting a job after college, starting a family, etc. are taking a large chunk of the old raiding force out of play. The game has been out for 8 years now -- people that may have been 16 when it first came out are now 24+, got married, and have a full-time job. Or just the factor of raiding for umpteen years gets old and you move on.

    I watched this happen with my guild. College graduation pics turned to engagement pics, engagement to wedding, wedding to baby, baby to Jr. getting on the bus for kindergarten. "One more pull guys!" just isn't happening when half the raid has to get up at 6am for work because they have a mortgage and kids to worry about.

    It's funny, you can track the progression of lolhardcore -> meh through raid achievements, we had everything through ToGC then solidly stopped caring. Of the officers two of us had new jobs, and the third started his own business, the other folks that regularly helped out had kids to look after. We still did hard modes, just didn't really care if we got to them before the other guys.

    I find what Jedinight said so distrubingly true. I know of people who quit because they have a family that needs thier attention

    I think it took me around three years to get the Green Proto Drake from the Oracle egg, and I only missed a handful of weeks during that time.

    lawl my rogue ended up getting the green drake 3 times before I got the pet and before they changed it to a 3 day

    Looks like they've changed SW/Org to reflect they've finished construction (or repair) on their front gates, in 5.2

    Nice, I suppose; I was kinda hoping for a bit more though; particularly in SW with the blown up park area, maybe someone would have cleaned shit up a bit at this point?

    I wonder if Org will end up with more changes when the Garrosh stuff rolls around?

    EDIT: Oh, and re: new character models, some blue said that it's not likely that the updated NPC models are an indiciation of the actual character model changes. Eh.

    One big thing that I really hope they take advantage of when designing the new models, whatever they end up looking like, is allowing much more modability in regards to armor. Right now armor graphics are limited a lot by the character models/animations. I really hope that they make it so the new models can 'take' a lot more creative armor designs so we can get things like Tyrandes dress, or other, more detailed (model-wise) variations on equipment. I think 8 years of spandex armor with just massive shoulders to be the 'thing' is enough. bigger belt buckles isn't exactly exciting.

    It'll be hilarious when they decide not to pay the masons for their work.

    Oh. There are rep tokens for the 5.0 reps that are BoA in the item database for 5.2. 1k rep per use.

    No clue where they come from. Hmmm...maybe that'll be their lesser charm sink that they talked about before?

    EDIT: Not all the reps, just klaxxi, shado-pan, august celestials and golden lotus.

    Klaxxi is olol to get now anyway after the rep tokens. Simply doing the zone entirely ends you at 11k/21k and it takes like 4 days after that of dailies to get exalted. The rest are still their usual grinds, just half price since there's no real 'extra' rep you can get for shado-pan and celestials, and anecdotaly anyway, they've severely nerfed the key drop rate for golden lotus.

    Maybe they come from the new Tillers stuff? Supposedly there's new daily quests at the end of it where you can do work orders for all the factions, and get rep from farming with them.

    There's an Alliance quest there that's required to start the Twilight Highlands series (looks for clues after escorting the Prince around Stormwind), so they can't just raze the place and start over. They could adapt the quest to whatever the new look is, but Blizzard seems to like to take their time with that sort of thing.

    I know some people are just doing dailies forever, but a lesser charm sink would be useless to me as all mine will always be going into the greater charm quest.

    Unless they do something for the new tier in 5.2 where you need a 2.0 greater charm to roll and today's lesser/greater charms are useless beyond T14...

    Oh they've already implied enough. Do you really think they'll let anyone walk into the 5.2 raids on day 1 with 10 bonus rolls in their pocket?

    90 Lesser -> 3 Greater
    10 Greater -> 1 Venti
    10 Venti -> 1 Trenta

    So in a shocking turn of events, I was poking around on Wowhead and noticed something pretty awesome. They're bringing back some of the old armor models lost when they redid ZAZG, and introducing them as BoE greens. This is pretty sweet for anyone that likes to play dress-up, and pretty sweet for making piles of money on the AH....

    Ok, so on the PTR:

    I think we're looking at the source of teh Mogu and (based on the in-game lore) the Divine Bell.

    The question is...
    given the model name is Titan Captured; who captured the 'Titan' and got it to do their bidding? Also, it doesn't look so much like a Titan really, as one of the caretakers like Loken that was left behind.

    Smart money's on....
    The Old Gods, perhaps even Y'haarj, and yeah, that's definitely a caretaker model, and he's got both hands so it's not Tyr either (unless that was also retconned)

    Well
    It could be Tyr. It states in the lore that he could have regenerated his hand but chose not to but instead fashioned a hand of silver.

    Maybe the Divine Bell was forged from his hand, and afterward in his corruption fixed himself?

    Or maybe it's still an early model and the 'real' one will have no hand?

    Or maybe it's not Tyr. It would make sense though, if it were.

    So following up on this one based on text on the PTR and pictures of the new raid journal....
    The titan is Ra'den, not Tyr, and he was at the Engine of Nalak'sha (where Elegon is now). The Thunder King beat Ra'den and stole his power, then took him to his own fortress where they experimented on him.

    Oh, and the Mogu were originally servants of the Titans

    I figured they were a created race. Seeing as there don't seem to be any Mogu women.

    Except there are Mogu women, introduced in this patch. Of course if I remember correctly they're concubines, so one step forward and two steps back, eh?

    Nope; well don't have an OP that blows I suppose, though I failed that one miserably; and can't get to the OP of the old thread because it's closed to replace mine with one that doesn't suck.

    Threads like these though? People posting in them don't really need an OP with useful information because most of us know what we're doing in an 8 year old game and the questions we have are usually more specific than OP materal.

    Just make it look pretty and have a 'witty' title; or an informative title.

    After fiddling around a bit I think I'd better leave it to someone who is more familiar with the PA Forum tool than me. Witty titles I'm good at, looking pretty I'm not.

    Wait, that came out wrong...
