All this talk about police always being corrupt kind of irks me at times considering my Dad is a retired Police Chief. I wish there weren't so many bad apples in policing because it's really put such a bad mark on the entirety of the profession.
Look most of us with fathers in the law enforcement field have to accept at some point those fathers either participated in or looked the other way during at least one major injustice probably involving a minority. It's just a fact of life.
When we start demonizing the very concept of being a police officer we deserve to have a police force composed entirely of arseholes.
That doesn't follow at all. Ingratitude isn't a crime.
reading newspapers online, one headline grabbed my attention abut something something bergen prison
the important thing about it was, bergen prison is kinda ugly. And not like, woah that's an ugly prison, it's just... a bunch of low buildings and a concrete wall.
Currently investigating if we have any prisons that do not look boring.

Who said anything about gratitude? I'm just saying once it becomes universally accepted that police officers are all corrupt, don't be surprised when only corrupt people try to become officers.

Why does a morning cup of coffee make me that kind of sleepy where you yawn so hard you shiver and all you want to do is curl up in the fetal position and go to sleep?
THIS ISN'T HOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WORK
Also, as this has been the case as long as I can remember, why do I still drink coffee in the morning?

I don't think it's acceptance or public expectations that make certain professions susceptible to corruption. It's things like power, lack of oversight, an institutionalised need for dishonesty.
I cant find a picture but the wings of Oslo prison (as in the huge picture) are in a fan shape, behind that gate uap there, so it looks pretty cool from the air too
did the 1900s mean that we just stopped caring or what

Eating a big ol' omelette made with some 2 year old cheddar grated in there
Buy smaller blocks of cheese if it's taking you so long to get through them.

I decided on a hobby 3d project. I like space ships but have lacked the imagination to come up with a design so I am gonna make the engi cruiser from FTL in 3d instead.
I started with making a defense drone to warm up and I am maybe half way done I guess. Though I keep remaking stuff so we will see.

Man, I haven't done that since Clinton was President.
Allegedly a voice of reason.

I am so envious of people who can manage to keep their campaigns together enough to finish them.
I have done so exactly once in twelve years of roleplaying.

prisons doesn't have to be a punishment to us law abiding citizens who have to look at them
Never take the cheap shit that my dealer tries to pawn off on me?
Oslo Prison is kinda cool looking though.
That's a good point.
That's why we put them in the middle of nowhere where only cows can see them.

The same things apply to politicians.

okay this is also a cool prison. Slightly smaller scale. It fits 16 prisoners.
There is nothing worse than that moment when things have gone wrong just long enough for you to really believe it and then it gets fixed.
That's not a prison, it's an English B&B!
Eating a big ol' omelette made with some 2 year old cheddar grated in there
a proper B&B is just a normal house!
Which is what that is! :P
