Borderlands 2 had ∞ times more bonerfarts and midget boners than every other game released in 2012. The choice for GOTY was clear.
oh yeah, i missed that one. i played a ton of it but never beat it. was too long and repetetive. but my roommate is back on the train now and has been missing our RE6 nights to play Borderlands 2 again. Dammit.
the games I spent the most time with this year, by far, are Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft.
but I suppose from that list I'll put xcom at the top.

guild wars 2 was so fun. and had great mechanics for letting you paly w/ people of diff levels
i loved how buff and mighty my paladin type lady was. i had a 2h hammer and did a ton of effect damage. could easily spec/weapon swap her for defense or healing though.

It inspires in me this reaction I have where if I am of one mind and 95% of people are of the other I obsess over the thing until I can understand what everyone but me sees in it
But so far everyone I've held down and forced to listen to my complaints have just been all 'well yeah fair enough i guess'
I still have to finish Lone Survivor. Seeing it on the list made me feel guilty, but I am so bad at scary games. Especially retro scary games.
If it makes you feel better, Lone Survivor is pretty awful.

I was just rereading Oglaf's archive and goddamn but for a comic that set out to be porn, it is fucking hilarious.
The bit where the apprentice is kidnapped and keeps sending cumsprites to his queen had me nearly falling off the couch I was laughing so hard. And I've read the entirety of the comic almost 3 times now.

The artist is fucking prolific too. I remember thinking 'oh man it's been like a year since I've read Oglaf, I bet I could kill thirty minutes catching up'. And then it's like two hours later.
@Solo oh yeah? It seemed fun enough from a gameplay perspective when I was playing it...in so far as I find any horror games 'fun'. Does it get too stingy with food/supplies later on?

Black Ops 2 was way better than a few previous ones. Plus I am a mighty magician of death.
