UPDATE: So I've finalized the arrangements with Durgin-Park for March 21st from 5pm to 7pm. More importantly, tickets are on sale....right about....NOW!
More importantly, I will need help. As in actual physical people. If you want to volunteer, message me through the forums.
Can't wait. I'm definitely in

I've never been to any of the pre-pax dinners before so is this basically 100 forumers getting together talking with our gamer brethren for two hours and engourging on the American pastime of stuffing our faces because if so... I'm in.

I do long form opinion articles, previews, reviews and news on pc gaming and consoles.
The site is still a work in progress and yes I will bloody work on it.
I'm actually quite nice considering the name, I'm just very snarky.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. I'm team freestyle then, I can't wait for pax.

REMINDER: For those who get a freestyle ticket, PLEASE message me what you want so I can let the restaurant know what they should expect for the dinner.
we could always have some little "hi, my name is ________" stickers available at the door. probably more visible than the forum badge (which tends to twist and turn and, yes, would likely be hidden below table level at dinner). unless that's too cheesy. perhaps someone has a more creative idea?
I have been to meet-ups that do this. It may seem cheesy but honestly it works really well.
Sadly I'll be baking for the Cookie Brigade the night before PAX-East so I will be missing out.
The freestyle menu looks interesting! Have anyone tried their specialties like the Pot Roast and the beef? Also, if we choose the freestyle menu, what are our choice of method payment in restaurant?
I'm hesitating between the Cheeseburger and one of their many specialties.
Thanks

I had the roast beef last year and found it mediocre at best IMO.
I have been there many times, roast beef is good but not great, Pot Roast is very good. I would say it is great, but on off nights it can be a little dry.
INDIAN PUDDING.. If you never had it you must try it. (Cornmeal and molasses for those of you who never had it)
Hmm. I'd love to be there for this, but my flight doesn't get in until 4:30. As long as it's on time I could probably get to the dinner less than half an hour late. Would arriving somewhat late be acceptable or would it screw things up on your end?

The Menu Choices for me are.
Cup of Clam Chowder
Yankee Pot Roast
Crock of Baked Beans
Indian Pudding
Apple Cider
If you have not had their Baked Beans or Indian Pudding I strongly recommend them, both are best you can get in Boston.
