Ok, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm not sure where else to ask and no one in chat had a clue. It's a forum function of some kind so this seemed the best place to ask.

I got a strange notification today.

    The only automatic badges that are enabled, that I know of, are the yearly anniversary badges and the ones that come from the "wanted" game. Everything else is either manually handed out or was accidentally turned on (post counts, agree/awesome counts) and quickly shut off. Too much of a pain in the ass to go and manually remove any that got awarded accidentally during that period.

    You basically had to log in during that brief window when they were enabled and when they turned it off to get the badges for likes and awesomes and quotes and all that.

    If my understanding of vanilla is correct.

    I'm confused about the ancient badge... like, if I recall... 10 years ago was the nazi forum problem and the forums got brought down, didn't we have to remake accounts when the forum came back up? I thought I only missed out on like a month before I realized the forums were back

    I guess I'll get my ancient badge in a month?

    edit: or never because no one loves me. I'll go cry in the corner now.

    I just got that notification too and i was like "aww" I miss the old days when i actually was a regular here. Too much real work to do to spend time here :(

    Not everyone had to remake accounts.
    I decided to because I wanted a different(shorter) name.

    Obsession with badgers is the reason there are so very few of them active right now. Maybe lets stop talking about them and avoid the wrath of the admin.
