Apparently it's all part of a plan by socialists to destroy western civilisation with gayness. Or the writers are gay and engaged in propaganda to promote their godless deviancy.

It's obvious that none of the people commenting have ever read the strip. Just Internet fundies and fucknuts.

So you're saying the comments are exactly like the rest of the internet?

Basically. I take it personally when it's about Dredd though.

I'm guessing these are the same people who read the comic and miss the satire.

I would be amazed if any of them had actually read the comic. They were just mad at the evil gay folk sticking dicks down their throats.

I have a sinking feeling this means no more Dredd. Why the good always die young?

Dredd was the best, I'm so sorry it did not get its due in theaters. Because man was it entertaining. If only to see a man frown for 2 straight hours non-stop.

Very sad indeed. Unless of course they're selling stuff to make money to make another one? Those judge costumes will sell for several times the amount it cost to make them.

I asked a friend of mine about this when I saw the props up for auction and he basically said nah, they sell off that shit all the time regardless of if they are making a sequel or not. They usually will always start with fresh props for the most part.

Yeah, no worries, the SAW series did this after every movie.

Wait do you want me to worry because the saw films suck more dick than a dick sucking machine whos entire creation is to suck dick?

And just like the dick-sucking machine, they're making money hand over fist

Thats a relief. There is still hope!

Out of interest does anyone know of other movies that have disappointed at the cinema but raked in enough cash in Blu-Ray and DVD sales to green light a sequel soon after?

It's not a movie series but Firefly proved successful enough on dvd that it got a big budget movie.

Also worth pointing out in this thread since it's pretty much on topic, the movie sound track for dredd kicks ass. I love it and you should all buy it too since hopefully it's another slice of profit going to the studio/franchise.

Austin powers the movie died at the theaters but its success at the video store gave it not just one sequal but two.
