MrT because now I feel like I was manipulated

I know it's a little late in the party to make note of this, but I must say I am awed by this statement. How can a man be manipulated by his own ignorance?

    :|

I was saying I FEEL like the mafia did a good job subtly pushing the Iron Weasel wagon while making sure the MrT wagon felt like the prominent one.

Hence the manipulation. And why I felt duped by thinking that MrT was leading as strongly as he wasn't. I'm saying I don't think it was ignorance as much as manipulation.

Not cool with people trying to twist what I was saying. And you are the second one to try it.

I don't see how a wagon can be pushed subtly since the votes are both red and in bold. In actuality, I think MrT's lead seemed bigger that it really was because there actually weren't that many votes cast at all at that point and he had a huge PERCENTAGE at one point, but not really all that many considering how many people are still in the game. So it didn't take all that many for IW to catch up. Looking through the thread, the truly interesting thing is the long period with no votes at all despite lots of people posting. I've noticed that when there's a single villager with a hearty lead in the voting, mafia like to delay voting, since they don't want to pile on but also don't want to chance another mafia becoming the main alternative. Something to look at tomorrow.

    END OF NIGHT TWO:

    CLUSTERFUCK

The Aquaintance pulled out an ornate pocketwatch. He glared whimsically at his captive audience as a cruel, joyous smile crept across his face.

    Tick. Tock. Tock. Tock.

    "Tick. Tock." he hummed.

"Well, I for one am tired of listening to your rabble, demon-born!" cried a shining figure in the crowd. He stood in well polished armor, it had seen use years ago, knicks and dents were peppered across his hull. But its wearer had maintained its sheen and his sword. "Foulest beast from the deepest hell! Suckler of the teat of madness! Corrupted child of the depths!"

The Acquaintance started to fan himself. "OH MY DARLING GRACIOUS! I DO DECLARE! We got ourselves a fightin' boy!"

"No more! No more will we be pawns to your dark master's game!" he lept through the air with great speed and lopped off <Dys>'s head with one stroke.

"You know nothing." All the jovial charm had left the voice. "You know nothing about me." It carried a decisive edge of menance. "You know nothing about your victim. I congratulate you on defeating the horrible Seer, Ser Raddison."

A loud thunderclap, bolts flew around the Acquaintance striking Richard Cobalt and Churl Bast, who had become consumed by the sin of sloth.

"I SERVE NO MAN, DEMON OR GOD. I AM MY OWN ABSOLUTE." He pointed his finger at Ser Raddison. "AND NOW YOU WILL-"

He was interrupted by a low growl from the hole in the wall. The Acquaintance paused, the room took a breath, and the beast moved.

"Yes yes, right. It is not my place to punish you, ser."

The beast reached out its brass claws toward the sacrifice.

<MrTLicious> began screaming, pleading. "NO! NO! PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU, RECANT! RECANT! OH YOU PITIOUS FOOLS, RECANT AT ONCE! I AM A PARAGON OF PACIFISM! CAST YOUR EYES ON THAT IMPOSTER! HE IS THE ONE! HE-" A wet, gnashing sound silenced the Blood Council Pacifist. Purple light flashed briefly, but none could stand to stare at what it illuminated.

"Is that the best you have, foul spawn?" asked the Ser. "Idle threats to scare a child?"

    "No, Ser."

Amber eyes cast their vision on <Obifett>, melting the armored figure into a horrid ooze of ash and iron.

"They were meant to warn a childe."

A small sword clanked to the ground. It briefly shimmered with holy light.

"AHA! PERFECT!" cried the shrill Baron Eligos Botis a winged demon with sharp, iron fangs extending from a protruding jaw. The skin of his face seemed loosely attached, like a ghastly green mask. The rest of his body was covered in a slimy black skin that seems to shift unnaturally as if it were an oil slick. He carried a Scepter of dark power in his right hand and grasped the once holy blade in his left. "THIS IS A FINE ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION." It stared at the cowering masses, each afraid to bear down against it. "ONE USE SHOULDN'T NICK THE BLADE TOO HARSHLY, I THINK."

As he spake, a harsh cloud of flies descended on the hapless <Infidel>. At the same time, a horrible beamshot from across the room, from which among you no-one could say. No one could tell which hit first, but the remains of <Infidel> were spread into several piles, and the flies carried his head to feast mid-air.

"And again. Look at the mess you people made of <Iron Weasel>." The Acquaintance gestured toward the body surrounded by a pool of blood. "This keeps happening when you aren't paying attention. Sheesh!"

The Acquaintance glared at Eligos Botis for a moment before shouting:

    "WELL!

    THAT WAS FUN!
    "

THERE ARE EIGHT SHARDS IN PLAY.

    The dead:
<Obifett>, a noble knight that had taken his arms up to defend the country. Slain unjustly, his holy object corrupted.
<Dys> a seer. Slain by <Obifett> for reasons.
Tommy2whatevers and BadGrammarSpectre both died because they didn't follow basic instructions. i.e. get down when the evil guy is shooting lightning bolts. And also voting slash participiating.
<Infidel> - Was it the flies? Was it the beam? This poor soul never knew what hit him.
Everyone piled on poor <MrT>, but at least some good came of it.
And poor <Iron Weasel>. Won't someone please think of the Shibbolyths?!

My understanding was that MrT was purple because he had a shard, while Infidel was killed by a purple effect of some sort.

A man was told by a Mandalorian that, should he die this night by a demonic hand, one named Phyphor should be offered up to the red god.

A man relays this information as a favor to the Mandalorian, a gesture of goodwill to the dead. A man would prefer, however, that such messages not be passed along through one who only desires his own survival.

A man was told by a Mandalorian to kill one named Phyphor. The Mandalorian is dead now, and seems to have possessed some power -- a man cannot be sure if it was a power of the mind, or of the sword. Or perhaps some other, more arcane power.

A man knows not of this "flavour rp" the facetious one mentions.

    Speaking of.. ahem...

Madness. Not unexpected, of course, and something with which Collin was well-versed - as much inbreeding as went on in the aristocracy, he'd had to play caretaker to more than one employer who'd gone round the twist.

Collin closed his eyes, not thinking about Master Philip. He'd had a different kind of mental affliction altogether, according to his family and the clergy. How lucky Collin had thought himself those days; it had been honour enough to move all the way up from hallboy to becoming the Master's personal valet, but he could never have imagined anything more....

With a curt shake of his head, Collin shored himself up against such maudlin recollections. He supposed it was time to do his job.

"Now," he called, voice booming from years trained to announce visitors across grand ballrooms, "is the time for us to cease casting aspersions about all haphazard, and apply our brains to the task. We must use all information at our disposal and actually use it."
