If I did something wrong I can delete this, I figured we should have a Blood Bowl thread so I'd stop spamming the 40K one. Also I can add anything needed to the first post, I started setting it up and wasn't sure what info needed to be in it.

Yay Blood Bowl thread!
I'd suggest links to rules, and GW pages for the game. We've got FUMBBL, which is the online free-to-play web version, and we should probably mention the video game version too. There's a bunch of people out there who make miniatures, too. The Impact site has links, but Shadowforge is a big one too. Maybe mention Dreadball?
I'm currently working on a Dwarf team, a large support staff, and a pitch. I have a back story worked out for the stadium and everything. The picture below is from Sunday. This Sunday I'll be adding lettering to the inside of the end zones, painting the end zones, and painting the gravel pits. Then I'll be able to get some work on my team a bit.
I've only played the PSP game, I didn't even know it was a 40k-ish miniature game. I'm checking out FUMBBL right now.

Man I have never really played a game since this where the dice hated me so much
And I still enjoyed it
This is also the only game I've ever seen someone get mad enough to legit throw dice in. A co-worker and I had just started in a store league, and we played each other for the first week's game, my Nurgle against his Dark Elves. The ball gets kicked to him first turn, and he runs one of his blitzers over to the ball. He picks it up, then attempts to GFI to get behind his wall of blockers. Rolls a 1. Gets a 12 for the injury table. Kills himself. After that, it was a steady string of my Nurgle Warriors just punching his team in the face. He rolled so many 1s for dodging and...doing anything, really. On the last roll of the game, he just picked up one of his dice and chucked it across the room.
I honestly didn't blame the guy. This game isn't for everybody.

Also, a link for tactics and discussions on the various teams, skills, and starting rosters for a TV1000 league (which is the most common): bbtactics.com
Really useful stuff, even if you don't agree with what Coach suggests. Decent forums too, with good discussions of strategy and starting set-ups, on offense and defense.
It is such a fun game, and it can be one of the most frustrating ones out there. It's not a Blood Bowl tournament if someone hasn't sworn to quit playing. :P
It is a tad expensive (what isn't in this hobby?) though. But you know, once you have your team and a pitch, there isn't much more, and I quite like having the pitch as a center piece. I know there aren't prices on the site, but it is a matter of sending an email to them and finding out what you want.
I'll put behind spoilers what they told me last year
here's a price list that should help you to calculate the cost of your field,
Standard field in rollable version cost €35
Standard field in 6 pieces hard version cost €45
Oversize extra cost € 18
Customization price list (to add to the basic field price):
Customization level 1 €15:
-Change the logo on the centerfield
-Change the endzone colours and place team name on it
-Change the reroll/turn marker colors
-Change the logo at the center of the scatter template
Customization level 2 €25:
All the change listed above plus
-Change some details on the bench
-mix elements from different standard fields (like the bench from a field placed on another one)
Customization level 3 €35
All the change listed above plus
- Creation of some dedicated elements (Bench, ground, scatter template)
- Layout change (like removing the weather and kick-off table)
Fully customization €60
Creation of a full custom field
As you can see, things get expensive quickly if you go for alot of customization (hence why I bought and am very happy with my standard Skaven one).
Also, what do people think of the rumours that we're going to see a (limited?) re-release of Blood Bowl this summer; does seem like we get them every year at the moment.

All the rumor people seem sure that we'll get a new Blood Bowl set this year. Just as sure as they seemed last year. I think at this point I'll believe it when I see it. I hope we get new sculpts for more then 4 teams. And I hope they don't mess with the rules.

I've got a hunch that GW is moving away from the "board game" release they do every year. Space Hulk was gangbusters for them because, well, SPACE HULK, but Dreadfleet did really poorly for them, and I don't think they can tell that it was because no one was really interested in Dreadfleet, not because people didn't want to do board games anymore. They didn't really have one at all last year, although an argument could be made for their resources being tied up in new editions for 40K and Hobbit.
So I'm adding some towers one end of my field. I want two of them, coming out of a mountain. Each one is going to have half of my score board. I ordered the fortress turrets because they are cheaper than the Watchtower and I thought would make better looking Dwarf buildings. Those towers are huge compared to the Watchtower. So I had to do a return for store credit and grabbed two Watchtowers.
Nurgle is my favorite team because they make the other guy roll dice. Plus i love defense.
I love Nurgle as well. They don't win very well, but they don't lose easily, if you see what I mean. It's great to end up with a 1-0 win, having made yourself a new player from the rotted corpse of an opponent in the process.
Plus giving a Wood Elf player an aneurysm is always a good day.
I haven't played much of the client since banzai's last league was finished. Too bad because i shelled out moneys for chaos edition and we never got a league off the ground

Yeah, its kinda sad looking at the 5 different PA leagues I'm in with only BlitzAce ever logging on. I have to say though, I am enjoying playing in the FOL matchmaking system right now - 7/5/3 this season but 3 of those wins are disconnects (one rage quit).

I don't know if anyone really knows how to play well with Khemri. That team is kind of gimped in a lot of ways. Not even Decay, though that doesn't help, but only AG2 on everyone means ballhandling is a toss-up every single time. Even with Sure Hands on the Throw-Ras, it's still only a 75% chance, and I know I've failed a lot of pickups with AG3 and SH. Your high S dudes don't get Mighty Blow to start and can only pick up Block on doubles. There's so many downsides to the team.

Ball handling is by far the biggest problem. Blitz on a kickoff almost always means youre going to get scored upon next turn with any AG4 team. You can cage but you can't dawdle because of the MV of your team. Any turnover early in a turn because of blocks is devastating because you gotta hustle. Hope the other team doesnt have any standfirm or fend because that too will slow you down.
Basically they're kinda like dwarves with none of the upsides and pale benefits. I will say though that at 1500 TV they can be pretty brutal to endure.
Oh yeah, mummies getting knocked down is disasterous because of their mv

I would be very much up for a CF fumbbl league. I'm a bit intimidated by the attitude around fumbbl; it can be fun, but a bit unforgiving for the n00bish, and I originally ventured in there without knowing anyone a few years ago, and on and off over the years. I lost quite a lot, as you can see from my profile.
As you can also see, I'm a bit of a Skaven addict, but I've tried to dabble with a few other teams...

Grrrr. Lost 2-0 to a Norse team tonight with my Chaos. He kept breaking my armor and putting me on my back, and I just couldn't return the favor until it was too late. Also I played like a goose and let the ball get loose not once but twice when he kicked to me. Ended up with 5 CAS'es though, plus a CMP, so at least I still got some SPPs for my team. Hooray, two rookie Beastmen with Dodge!

I'm at 1160, he was at 1190? He was actually out one of his S4 players too. But rookie Chaos without much Block is difficult to play, especially against Norse where everyone has block.

norse is one of those teams that is strong at low TV but their AV and lack of skill access really bites them later on. On Cyanides client im in a lineman only league and they are just brutal.
